Great time passing through at Bullpen. Came around lunch and its pretty quiet. Foor came fast and was really tasty (burrito bowl). Restaurant is clean and classy with an amazing view

Passing through from out of province and chose this restaurant for dinner. Atmosphere and view were really fantastic! Every wait staff excerpt our was friendly, smiling and attentive. Ours (red hair, never told us her name) was cold, inattentive and uninterested in making our dining experience memorable. 25 minutes after taking our drink order (and not seeing her anywhere) we finally saw her at another table, she walked past without checking on us so we got her attention and she came over, asked her if our drinks were coming and she said oh the iPad must not have gone through?? No apology. 10 mins later brought the 2/3 drinks then the 3rd 5 mins after that. Waited over 1 hr for 3 entrees. The food was quite good, big portions, fresh, hot and tasty, plated nicely.
After bringing our food she disappeared again, stopped by when 1 of us was done and two still eating to ask if we wanted dessert or more drinks (glasses had been empty for over a hour ) at that point we just wanted to finish what we ordered and go do we declined.
Finally at the 2hr mark I went to the bar to ask for our bill and a box. She popped out from somewhere and cashed me out reeking of cigarettes. No apology for the inattentiveness whatsoever. She shouldn’t be in the service industry if she isn’t interested in customer satisfaction. Her lack of customer service ruined an otherwise great meal with a great view.

Long day of travel with the RV and it looks like we weren’t gonna make the bullpen steakhouse in time before they closed so I called and placed an order and she said for sure come on in we’ll have it ready for you. We arrived half an hour before they closed and sure enough two burgers with the works and poutine were ready to come to the table. She even remembered that I had said we’ll have a corona and a Bud Light, and then, even though she was washing the floor of this super clean eatery, she had lots of time to chat about Grand Falls. Great memory of the town. The restaurant is set beautifully with an excellent outdoor patio overlooking the docs/boats and the boardwalk over the river.

I had the crispy chicken burger and it was very good . The french fries are awesome. My fiance had the fish tacos, they were extremely spicy. Would have been much better if the spice was toned down on those. Lots of cool ingredients in all the food. The building is beautiful and the location is excellent. Our waitress was great , hope to have her again. Can’t remember her name but she had orthodontic braces and tats, very good at her job. Overall a great experience. Thanks, Aaron

came into town for a quick layover and we’re looking for a nice place to eat!!!! MANNNNN did we find a treasure!!! Awesome lake view, staff so friendly and amicable….. and the food!!!! Hubby had the shrimp cocktail and lobster ravioli and I went for the lime chicken tacos!!!! HEAVEN!!!! Just amazing!!!!

Honestly I cannot say enough about this place….The service..food ..atmosphere… cleanliness….We were a party of five, here for a hockey tournament..found this little gem tucked away…We had the most amazing service and food we have had in any restaurant….very friendly….when you see all the staff in a restaurant smiling while they are working, you can tell they are happy with their jobs ..the manger was also very friendly and checking on everyone……we sat at the bar as that was the only seats available.. but let me tell you the stools were so Comfortable to sit..the presentation of all the plates of food that came out of the kitchen was phenomenal and left us wanting to try everything…the sad part is we live four hours away and don’t have anything like this at home…will definitely be back… Craving already…Kudos to the owner,manager, wait staff and kitchen staff

Would not recommend! I work with the public and told people I was going here. When asked about my visit, I shared the truth! We booked a reservation for 4pm, asked for a seat with a view and marked it as a special occasion. Upon arriving 5-10 minutes ahead of time. As we went to head inside, the lady(cook) sitting outside with co-worker was abrupt telling us that they weren’t open yet! I said okay, we’ll just sit on the patio and let us know when we could come in. We sat and waited until another couple had arrived and walked inside, we followed. All the workers seemed to having a great time. We let a young lady know we had a reservation, she showed us to our seats near the bar (no view) I told her we had reserved a seat with a view. She showed us another table and seated us. The table was dirty from the day before! She apologized and brought some cleaner. We asked about a drink, she told us….i’m not your waitress. Then the best part of the entire visit was our waitress Tanya! The French onion soup was salty and had onion skins which wasn’t a pleasant experience. The steak was overcooked, tough, no flavour and dry. No seasoning on steak or mushrooms. The loaded potato was topped with wilted green onion, the mushrooms were black and shrivelled not looking fresh! The waitress insisted on making the plate right (I never send things back to the kitchen) and took both back to the kitchen. The next plates came out, the loaded potato had no onion, steak was cooked as requested but tough and fatty, mushrooms were the same and the worst part was it had hair on the plate, yes hair!!! Not at anytime did anyone mention the special occasion so not sure what the point is in asking on the reservation pricey for the bland quality of food. I don’t see this place being successful. As you can see, plating is not consistent. A huge disappointment! Will not be recommending! P.S the executive chef advertised, is NOT the chef there.

Stopped by while driving through the province for supper and was pleasantly surprised. Epic meal. The best decision we made and possibly the best road trip meal I’ve ever had. I had the french onion soup to start and a ribeye steak with garlic mashed potatoes. Both were exceptional and would order them both again. Can’t wait to visit again whenever I pass by Grand falls.
Must stop here! Great beer on tap. I discussed with my friend that this would be an ideal place to stop when out on an ATV or snowmobile as well.
