A friend recommended this place, and I’m so glad I tried it. I was away from home and craving Filipino food during the Christmas holidays, so I called Maria, who kindly prepared two platters for me. The food was ready on time, neatly packaged, and I couldn’t wait to get it home. It was absolutely delicious, my whole family loved it—there wasn’t anything left on our plates. We’ll definitely be back for more! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Before my trip, I searched high and low for the best Filipino food in the area—and I’m so glad I found this food truck. Let me tell you: they did not disappoint.
I ordered the Sisig and Pancit Bihon, and both were absolutely phenomenal. The sisig was sizzling, savory, and perfectly crispy in all the right places—packed with bold flavor and just the right hint of spice. The pancit bihon was light, fragrant, and so well-seasoned, with every bite reminding me of the homemade dishes I had back in the Philippines.
I haven’t had Filipino food this good since I was in the PH last year. It’s clear that the team behind this truck pours heart and soul into every dish.
To top it off, the owner was incredibly kind and welcoming—the type of person who makes you feel like family from the moment you walk up. Their passion for sharing Filipino culture through food shines through in both the cooking and the conversation.
If you’re craving real, no-compromise Filipino comfort food, this food truck is an absolute gem. I’ll be back—every time I visit Bloomington!!

We found them on a Saturday morning at the Farmers Market and let me tell you this – one of the BEST TACOS I have ever had (and I’ve had my share). We were in Bloomington for 5 days with the sole goal of trying a different variety of international foods and this taco ranks in my top 3 things I ate. They were extremely friendly as well with explaining their menu.

The taco is on a fluffy tortilla toasted up on the grill with the juiciest flavorful pork adobo. It is then topped with a refreshing salsa and a couple of sauces. It is a small taco that packs a punch and I would eat a dozen of them next time if I could get away with it (or just try even more dishes on their menu).

I also tried their Halo Halo dessert, which was very light in flavor and refreshing in the heat.

Honestly there are a few places in Bloomington that I look forward to eating out. While there are a lot of ethnic options, a lot of diverse restaurants have a hard time receiving the most authentic and fresh ingredients due to being in the Midwest. In turn, they cannot make the best version of their food or would have to cater to a more “unseasoned” or inexperienced palette. Filipino food is amazing and it’s hard to find in the Midwest and even harder to cook and display for a demographic outside an Asian background.

The owners and workers of Pinoy Garden Cafe are some of the nicest and hardworking people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. They consistently prep their ingredients and cook to ensure that their product is up to their standard given the limited resources and time they have to work with, but they still deliver quality. I have tried everything on their menu and I still go back to the pork adobo. If they have their halo halo, my day just gets better.

I look forward to when they have their own food truck and hopefully eventual restaurant where their menu is able to expand. They are constantly improving and I look forward to their continued success.

We tried them after seeing them on fox59. I would have say that I was not impressed with the food or the portion size. Small side salad bowl rice, a scoop of pork belly that seemed to be under cooked. It had raw chunks of fat in it, and 3 very small sring roll an out the size of my pinky finger. Tasted very bland mainly soy sauce , and the spring rolls were doughy. And this was $14 a bowl.
First and last time I will be there.

If the the pork belly had been cooked twice and would suggest turning the grill higher next time.

Glad to know that you increase your prices and cut your portions when big events are in town. This does not a good way to treat the people of Bloomington who were trying to support your business.

Do not sleep on Pinoy they are fantastic! I tried them for the first time about a month ago and got this delicious pork/rice/egg dish that of course I don’t remember the name of but it was divine. However, I had really been wanting to try their famous halo-halo dessert and OMG IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! It has everything, a lil ice cream, shaved ice, what tastes like jelly cubes of sweetened and condensed milk, other cubes of fruit jelly and slices of fruit. You will notice, there is no picture, because I inhaled it at the farmers market. It costs $8 and don’t forget to mix it all together to get that sweet sweet flavor. Would go there over and over and over again! Stop by!

My wife and I went to the Pacers game last April 29 and we wondered why it smelled like sisig all the way from the team store, then we knew that they were the guest chef for that night–Pinoy Garden Cafe didn’t disappoint, though lacking in authentic philippine ingredients (as per the head chef), it certainly didn’t lack that Filipino taste that will transport you all the way to the Philippines.

Really tasty food and good portions for great prices. If they are serving their tacos, get them! They were excellent, along with the lumpia and adobo. Very friendly and great customer service as well. Will be getting again!
