They have a bar up front where you can catch a game and eat or a dining room in back. The menu has some good New Mexico style dishes. It didn’t satisfy my cravings for some hot chile though.Their salsa wasn’t as spicy as I had hoped it might be. I would go back and try something different. The chorizo queso was good. It would be plenty to split between a group of 4.

I came with a big group and they took very good care of us. The service was quick and friendly. The food arrived very quickly, which surprised me due to the size of our group. Part of our group even came late and they took care of them without a hitch. I had the steak burrito and enjoyed it. The flavoring on the steak was really good. The black beans had no flavor but the rice was pretty good. I enjoyed their chips and the salsa had great flavor which I can’t say the same for most Mexican restaurants these days. Very happy with my visit

A buddy told us to check this spot out, so we came in for lunch and had a great time. Our server was super helpful with the menu, the chimichangas were tasty with big portions and the dining room was calm and comfy. We are excited to come back and try more stuff.

We tried this spot for Arizona Restaurant Week and it totally delivered, especially with the giant serving of queso and tasty chips. The blue corn enchilada, sides, and friendly service made it a place we’ll definitely return to.

The drinks were solid and the staff was super friendly, but I ran into issues ordering from the vegan menu. My burrito first came out with cheese and beans topped with cheese even though it was supposed to be vegan, so I had to send it back. It got fixed, but it was a little awkward and I just wish the staff was better trained on vegan options.

Our first visit to La Ristra tonight at 6:00pm with a group of 5. We enjoyed Margaritas which were very good. This is a tequila bar after all! We split the fajitas and others in our group enjoyed the enchiladas. Food was ok. Service by Alina was outstanding!

My favorite Mexican spot! As a NYer who grew up with excellent food choices, I can say this spot has the best Mexican I’ve ever had.
The nachos with both cheeses is out of this world good. And the margarita flavors! Omg. Try the pomegranate frozen margarita. It’s delish.

One of the best authentic Mexican places with New Mexican chilis is their plus. Portion size is good. Green Chile cheese fries is also good.
Fried ice cream is ok.
Please note that they charge for replacing meat for fajitas.
They serve complimentary chips and salsa.

Note: Mexican Pizza is no longer on the menu.

Specializing in spicy dishes, this laid-back New Mexican eatery also boasts a selection of over 100 tequilas.

I ordered the shrimp enchiladas with sides of chile mashed potatoes and black beans, while my dining partner had the Machaca Taco plate with calabacitas and chile mashed. Honestly, everything was spot-on—no complaints at all. Our server was fantastic, the vibe was laid-back and welcoming, and the cocktails were top-notch. You have to try the Jalapeño Cucumber Margarita!

2/22/25: yep, still good! unbeknownst to me, I ordered the same menu item as last time (stuffed sopapillas — very tasty, though!), but my sister ordered something different: fajita burrito chimichanga style. We thoroughly enjoyed both.

We tried to sit outside, but although it’s a shaded patio, our table was in the sun, and it was frying my back. Our server, Delaney, was very understanding and quickly got us a table inside. She was very attentive and friendly, checking back with us a number of times to see how things were going.

If you have not yet tried La Ristra, get ‘er done!

2/28/22: Very good and love the decor! The parking lots is manicured and well-paved, with abundant spaces. We enjoyed an early Saturday meal, were seated immediately, with wonderful service. I didn’t research La Ristra well enough beforehand to know it was a lot of red / green chile (which I don’t like) but have always been able to tolerate if the food is good enough.

Although this virgin visit I ordered the stuffed sopapilla, absent of chiles. The margarita flight was more than we expected, meaning the drinks were larger, which was a pleasant surprise.

All the food came out hot and delicious. The side of corn had a lovely flavor. We opted not to go for a dessert although we saw a table beside had the fried ice cream. We almost broke down because it looked so damn good, but we had too many Girl Scout cookies at home. LOL!

I would visit La Ristra again for sure.
