Dirty floors covered in straw wrappings, slimy silverware, really setting an unprecedented example of how to care less than ever.

Had a really disappointing experience at Outback Steakhouse. After a bad visit last time, someone from the restaurant reached out, offered a credit, and encouraged us to try again. We gave it another shot, but unfortunately, it turned out to be even worse—both in food and service.
I ordered the same dish, Grilled BBQ Chicken with seasoned rice and sweet potato, but the chicken was once again undercooked, there was no BBQ sauce provided, and instead of seasoned rice, I was served broccoli without any explanation. On top of that, they didn’t even bring out the complimentary bread that’s usually part of the meal.
Not sure if this happened because I mentioned the credit beforehand, but either way, it was very disappointing. We had spent around $75 the first time, and this visit was about $30 after applying the credit, which they did honor. Still, the overall experience was so poor that I have no intention of returning.
On the other hand, Texas Roadhouse across the street has been exceptional in every way, and I’d rather spend my money there. Honestly, I wouldn’t come back to Outback Steakhouse again—even if the food was free. Sorry to write such a harsh review, but this is my genuine personal experience.

Visited the Outback Steakhouse in Ann Arbor. The complimentary bread was warm and tasty to start with. I ordered the grilled chicken with seasoned rice and a sweet potato as sides. Unfortunately, the chicken was very tough and not enjoyable at all. On the brighter side, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and there’s plenty of parking available. My friend ordered a Long Island Iced Tea and an $8 cocktail – the iced tea seemed pretty good.
I definitely prefer the texas road house.
What really stood out was how hard he was working the whole time. He was always moving, helping different tables, and making sure everyone felt taken care of. Even though it wasn’t his assigned table, he still made the effort to help out wherever he could, which made the experience even better.
Our server, Faith, was also great. She was attentive, kind, and made sure everything came out correctly and on time. Overall, the service was excellent, and Justin and Faith both played a big role in making our visit enjoyable.
The biggest issue was the salad—it was outright rotten, and it seems we weren’t alone. Other tables nearby were sending their salads back too, which makes it clear this wasn’t an isolated incident. On top of that, the fried items came out overly dark and unappetizing because, as staff admitted, they were using old fry oil. The chicken was also overcooked, making it tough and dry.
The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was still good, but the food quality has clearly slipped. It was disappointing to see a place we once loved fall so short.
However, the vegetable, broccoli, was way under cooked! Excellent otherwise!
Thanks!
I always ask for no tomatoes and the same, they don’t put them on or I get them even when the sticker on the container says 86 the tomatoes. Dressing? Barely any unless you like your salad dry , or I get back to my hotel and have no dressing. Last night same thing, ordered a side salad along with my chicken tender meal and got my broccoli side but no side salad. I always get the text shortly after asking about my experience and I feel they need to ask how they did we screw up your order today? As other reviews have said the same, the quality sucks. One spoke about Texas Roadhouse across the street is a better option and cheaper than what you pay for here and for what you get. I get things can happen but every time something has been wrong.
