Strakkino rappresenta la concretizzazione di un progetto di cinque giovani amici con lobiettivo di proporre i prodotti della tradizione ligure (e non) in un modo differente. Siamo partiti nel febbraio del 2014 proprio da qui: investendo su Genova, la nostra città. Ma il nostro sogno non ha confini e vuole esportare la tradizione ligure anche allestero con la creazione di una vera e propria catena Strakkino. L’idea di Strakkino nasce nel 2012, anno in cui il gruppo di amici genovesi si accorge di come la focaccia al formaggio e altre specialità della tradizione ligure facciano perdere la testa a tutti i loro amici stranieri che passano da Genova e dintorni. I’ve officially been here twice, which in my book means it’s no longer “trying a new place” — it’s a relationship.
It has a unique style that somehow manages to be both perfectly crisp and satisfyingly soft at the same time. The toppings are incredibly fresh, and each pizza has a creative twist on tradition that makes you pause mid-bite and go, “Okay… wow.”
You can tell they respect classic Italian pizza, but they’re not afraid to have a little fun with it.
On top of that, the customer service was excellent both times — friendly, welcoming, and patient while I debated ordering the same thing again (which I did). If I’m already a repeat customer after two visits, that probably says everything. Highly recommend!

It was already 2 or 3 in the afternoon when I ate there, and there was no one in the restaurant. The waiter kept asking if we wanted to order other dishes, and then charged us a 1.50 euro service charge and a 0.50 euro for a glass of water. I don’t know where this fee is reflected on the menu. Overall, it was a terrible experience.

What an experience! I ordered a Strakkino focaccia with roasted ham and that was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very cosy and the waiters were really kind and experienced.
I will definitely come back the next time I come to Genoa.

Loved the pizza and the atmosphere! I had a “vegana” which was fresh and hot and super tasty. I’m not sure how they make the crust, but it’s amazingly light and flavorful

I tried the Bianca focaccia and it was really good! The dough was soft and light, and the stracchino cheese gave it a rich, creamy flavor.

if you want to have lunch with pigeons getting in your plates, that’s the place. we tried strakkino parmigiana and moreskina tricolor. the first is like homemade underbaked puff pastry, the second has cheap tomatoes from supermarket. together with very bad service, when nobody’s cleaning the tables or even hears your order, the rating 4.5 on google is very surprising

We’ve had a great time trying the Italian cuisine, but on our 6 days visiting the city we haven’t had better pizza than here.
This place uses trully great authentic ingredients, and you can taste that with every single bite.
The atmosphere was casual and people were friendly and helping us with the menu.
I would definetly recommend this place to my friends 🙂
