Social Profile:

Little Deli & Pizzeria is a locally owned and operated, northeastern style Deli and Pizzeria. We offer the best of both worlds: great deli sandwiches and authentic New Jersey pizza. Our sandwiches are made on freshly baked breads, using the best quality meats and cheeses. All of our soups and salads are homemade, and our desserts are made in-house or from a local bakery. Our pizza is made using our homemade dough, prepared in the artisan style, the old-fashioned way. We hand toss our pies and bake them on two-inch stone hearths. They are sold by the pie or by the slice. We started as a small sandwich shop, serving great sandwiches and homemade daily specials. In 2009, we added the pizza kitchen and officially became Little Deli & Pizzeria!

Small, deli-style storefront supplies Jersey-style specialty pizzas plus hot & cold sandwiches.

Sigh, I am so frustrated with this place. When I first started coming here years ago (mid 2010s?) it was fantastic. Real NY type slices, thin, cooked well, and they actually had unbreaded eggplant (if you know you know).

Fast forward to the last few years and it’s an entirely different restaurant food wise. The pies are regularly undercooked, over thick, too much cheese, and fall apart the second you pick up a slice.

Want some evidence? See these photos from another failed attempt at getting good little deli. I asked for both of these pies “extra crispy”, and it’s on my receipt. Neither pie is very far beyond raw, and to add insult to injury take a close look at the bottom edge crust on the peppers and onions… the crust is LITERALLY MISSING. Like some animal took a bite out of my pie.

Dude, Little Deli, FIX YOUR BUSINESS. I used to say you had the best pizza in Austin, and now I would t even put you above CraigOs. Yeah dude, CRAIGOS.

This place is like heaven on earth for me. Super cool spot. Gets very busy with families and locals and for good reason.

The pastrami is thin-sliced and so good. I need to try the Reuben but i can’t help but order pastrami every time. Little Deli is everything you want from a place like this.

The Italian sub was so good, honestly needed salt, but tasted super fresh and the bread is soft. The sub was great leftover too – didn’t get soggy whatsoever.

Little Deli & Pizzeria is a bustling, family-style counter/sit-down spot with distinct Northeastern influence. It definitely reminded me of home. The slices were priced slightly lower than some places in Austin, but otherwise par for the course.

The slice itself was a great size. The crust was the correct thickness and fairly crispy, making for a satisfying bite. The ratio of cheese to red sauce was well-balanced. My primary complaint was that the red sauce leaned too sweet. It threw off the taste of the slice and was particularly noticeable on the plain slice. A little sweetness is fine, but this slice was almost completely devoid of acidity and tang.

Love stopping here for a great Italian sub. Whole menu is amazing. Quick kind service, order at the counter. Fresh deli sides, fountain, cans, glass bottle sodas. Kille cookies, and cake slices, carrot cake to die for. Quite a few tables inside, plenty of patio & picnic tables, gazebo garden for kids to play around. Family friendly and relaxing neighborhood spot for takeout.

My mom works in the area and I was meeting her for lunch, we were both craving a sub and chose this place specifically because they also serve pizza which is perfect because I have a four-year-old and one year-old who love pizza. When we first pulled up, we almost left because it looked super packed outside and being 39 weeks pregnant, I didn’t know if I could handle the heat but ended up deciding to stay after finding a table in the shade and that was probably the best decision I made that day. I think this might be the best sub I have ever had and I love me a sub. All of their ingredients seemed high-quality. I got the club sub which comes with turkey ham, bacon, and provolone. they’re bacon was perfect. I’ve been to many places where the bacon is just OK. I definitely plan on coming back to this place. The pizza by the slice was also good 10 out of 10 if you’re in the area this place is worth trying.

Little Deli has been my favorite neighborhood place for more than a decade. The corned beef, pastrami, and chicken salad are fantastic. The pizza is good but not as good as the corned beef. The restaurant is very small with only maybe half a dozen tables inside. There is some outdoor seating which is great in the fall in the spring, but not so much in the winter or the summer!

Love the thin crust! Not sure if it’s stone baked but we had half pepperoni and half margherita! Reuben sandwich and Greek salad! Great way to spend quality foodie time with my fellow foodie queen friends! We had a great time we stayed, dined and just had amazing time. Service was cool, people mostly take out and the outdoor area looked cool. Simple yet worthwhile.

By far, there’s only one other pizza place in this whole town that competes with little deli and that’s home slice. But let’s go further into their delicious offerings. I think they have the best egg salad in town. It’s on a Kaiser roll with lettuce and tomato and you’re thinking so what egg salad. And I’m saying it is the best I come from New York. Nobody knows how to make it here. It’s either way too much mayonnaise or you can’t get it at all. There are other jelly sandwich sandwiches are just fantastic. Everything about here is top-notch.

Amazing food, we love to go and try their slice of the day and soup of the day. Plus the Reuben is perfect

Was recommended this place by a fellow New Yorker and was told that the pizza here is the closest I would find to NYC pizza here in Austin. And it probably is!
The atmosphere is really chill. The service was fast and there were a lot of people here which is always a good sign!
The pizza was really good. Not quite NYC, but the crust was good, red sauce was okay and just wish had a little more cheese on the cheese pizza.
