A nice place to relax and do some work and have a small treat. As the pastries I saw look so delicious.
My boyfriend requested if he could have eggs with his sandwich, they’re only able to do scramble which was okay. Looked good when we got our order. Which was nice to know they’re able to customize a bit with some menu items.
The food I had would say was good overall but that’s about it, if I wanted something simple and light. I had the smoked omelette with two pieces of bread.
As for the coffee was not impressed, I don’t know what about mine was just not as flavorful as I would have wanted. Tasted watered down and did not taste like mocha or hazelnut at all.
My boyfriend said it’s possible they might of just not made it well as his tasted good, he ordered just a hazelnut latte
Would say it’s a bit pricey for what we paid

For us, creating doughs and food with the simplest ingredients like flour, water and yeast is magic, art and passion. Food is not only about highest quality ingredients; that’s only the beginning. Food and baking is the art of life; it is about flavors of life, freshness, emotion, friendship, comfort, enjoyment. We believe that true quality is finding a balance in everything.
Customer Service: Unfortunately, the service falls short of expectations. Despite the presence of four staff members, the level of professionalism was lacking. One diligent Hispanic employee appeared overwhelmed, frequently moving between tasks but not engaging with customers. Another staff member seemed preoccupied with rearranging pastries rather than addressing the needs of waiting patrons. The remaining staff members were notably inattentive, engaging in idle gossip rather than attending to customer service. Additionally, an order was forgotten, prompting a customer to remind the staff to fulfill their request.
Food: The culinary offerings are visually appealing but inconsistent in quality. The Boston Cream Danish was a highlight, meeting a satisfactory standard for Towson. However, the brownie and Dutch pretzel were notably disappointing. The brownie was excessively hard, and despite repeated attempts to soften it, it remained almost inedible. The Dutch pretzel also lacked freshness, suggesting that these items were not recently baked.
In my professional opinion, these products were far from the standard expected in a European-style pastry establishment.
In conclusion, while the ambiance and appearance of the pastries might be promising, the service and food quality do not meet the mark. This establishment, though currently the sole option in Towson for European-style pastries, would benefit from significant improvements in both service and product freshness to enhance the overall customer experience.
This experience raises serious concerns about staff conduct and customer treatment. I visited this café with a friend, and what occurred was unacceptable.
The croissant was served cold, showing poor attention to food quality. More seriously, when the food was delivered, the plate was thrown onto our table, not placed down. The action was abrupt and forceful, creating an uncomfortable and disrespectful situation. We were left shocked and unsure how to react.
When we addressed this, we were told the person who threw the plate was a cook and were offered an apology. However, this explanation does not excuse the behavior, and the response did not feel appropriate given the seriousness of the incident.
This was not a minor service mistake but a serious failure in basic professionalism and staff training. Management should be deeply concerned about how guests are treated. I will not return and do not recommend this place.
