I had the privilege of attending a birthday party at this restaurant, Marais. This was my first time here. I must say that this is a hidden gem in Dickinson. The employees were very attentive and made the occasion feel extra special!! The buffet was top notch! There was a good variety of foods to choose from. I enjoyed everything that I tried. It was well worth the price. I also enjoyed the upscale but laid back feel of this place. I highly recommend if you are looking for a Sunday brunch spot with nice jazz music! The buffet, music and overall vibe are worth giving Marais a try. Be sure to make a reservation!

First time here and decided on the Sunday buffet. I chose to sit at the bar to observe. Donavan and Kiwi were very attentive and provided great service. The buffet was “okay”, affordable, only $40 dollars. I will return to experience the dining service and menu items.

I chose Marais to coordinate a Meet and Greet to celebrate my husband’s 85th birthday. The event was an absolute success. We used their room for private events and the space accommodated my guests comfortably and provided a beautiful backdrop for decorations and photos.
I relied on my coordinators recommendations for appetizers and timing. The food was well prepared, beautifully presented and everything was fresh.
There were two dedicated attendants, keeping tables cleared, glasses filled and guests happy. The celebration was intended to provide my husband and guests a memory they will always treasure. Marais delivered!

I came to Mariah’s for New Year’s brunch and it was absolutely fantastic. The brunch buffet was executed perfectly, the chicken and waffles were bomb, and the seafood spread was impressive and fresh. Everything was well thought out and beautifully presented.
The service, as always, was excellent. Attentive, professional, and welcoming. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance of classy yet not pretentious, which makes it such an enjoyable place to relax and celebrate.
The location on the bayou just adds to the experience, such a great setting for a special occasion. I truly enjoyed my New Year’s brunch.

Spectacular! Amazing menu featuring dishes cooked with such precise detail you’d swear it was prepared solely for you! Staff is wonderful, atmosphere has a classically classic vibe – eclectic yet modern with hints of cigar lounge. A culinary delight. You’ll miss out if you don’t eat at Marais!!

Marais is one of our favorite go-to spots for special occasions or a weekend brunch! The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, the service is always top-notch, and the food never disappoints.
We especially love starting with their deviled egg appetizers—so tasty and perfectly done! Every entrée we’ve tried has been delicious, and I really appreciate that even though I don’t eat seafood, there are always plenty of creative, satisfying options to choose from. The chefs clearly put a lot of thought into the menus, with unique specials that change throughout the week, which keeps things fresh and exciting.
Reservations are definitely recommended, especially for weekends. If you’re looking for a consistently great dining experience with excellent food and service, Marais is a wonderful choice!

Great special occasion spot for large groups. Beautiful outdoor patio right on the river. Service was good but timing was a little off. There were 8 of us. We had the tilefish. Redfish, scallops, beef short rib pasta, fried chicken, elk and shrimp w grits. For appetizers we had raw oysters, Parmesan crusted oysters, spinach and cheese oysters, crab beignets and candied bacon. The food was amazing! I would skip the spinach and cheese oysters and the crab beignets next time but everything else was spot on. We also had several desserts. Tab w 4 bottles of wine tip and tax ran about $120 pp.

We went to dinner with our friends to celebrate a birthday. Our server, Chris, was very good. Whenever he missed something he was quick to apologize and then correct it. The food was delicious. I had the sirloin special with the side of mash potatoes. The creamsicle creme brulee was fantastic. This was the first time I ate dinner there. I will definitely try it again.

We are new to the area and found this place an extremely good value in that the atmosphere, food, and staff better other high end establishments such as Perry’s but at half to 2/3 the cost. Atmosphere is generally more friendly and warm, with fun art and good music.
Will definitely be coming back with family and friends.
