My family & I were in town visiting & decided to try Outback in August. It’s been several years since I’ve been, so was looking forward to going. We arrived & had a 10 min wait. For whatever reason, it took our server several mins to greet us. We ordered our food & everything came out as ordered. We had chicken fingers & fries, grilled chicken & fries, cobbler salad, blooming onion & the bread of course. Everything was okay! Our server was kinda hit & miss through dinner but it wasn’t a complete waste. Maybe different menu items would have been better.

The restaurant was clean and the service was good. The food was good. 2 -6 oz sirloin ordered the exact same, medium rare, but one was under cooked and under seasoned. Still good but, just different than expected. My daughter loved the chocolate Thunder from Down Under dessert.

Texas Roadhouse was my favorite for a long time. But after tonight, this might be the best steakhouse in town. We had a big party, and the waiter Nick did a wonderful job the food was prompt and everything cooked wonderfully. Thanks for the great night!

We ventured to Outback on Saturday night around 7:30 pm. It had been a few years due to a previous rough experience at this location. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of meat we were served. The bloomin’ shrimp was extremely fresh. I ate the surf and turf and the meat was cooked to perfection. I asked for medium rare and it came out to a T. I could tell the staff was trying their absolute best to serve us. It looked like they were a tad understaffed but the remaining staff was putting on a smile and emitting a positive vibe. Pleasant surprises from the meal were the strawberry lemonade and prime rib sandwich. Both come highly recommended. Outback is a good experience, overall with a fantastic meat selection which shone bright on our meal.

I wasn’t gonna come out here because I didn’t think I was gonna get good service… but let me tell you. I was incredibly blown away about how excellent this place is! The hostess opened the door for us upon arrival. We were sat promptly and greeted by our server. Andre was so knowledgeable and attentive to us, and we watched him be just as attentive with all of his tables. He made sure our order was right, and he make sure it was right on the check too. Not to even mention that the steak was cooked to absolute perfection. It was the best steak I’ve had at a restaurant, probably ever. I wish I had taken a picture just to prove my point, but I was too busy eating it. Top down, this was an excellent experience. I will be back for sure, and I will be asking to be sat in Andre’s section again. If he’s busy, I’d wait for an open table in his section.

This place has really come up since the new operating partner took over. I have been there twice in the last month and a half and both times had a great experience. I quit going years ago due to the old management and food had gotten terrible but things are now completely different and great.

Blue Star Mothers of Northeast LA hosted a Banquet honoring Gold Star Mothers, Fathers and Families. Outback was chosen to Cater the event for 80 people. A menu featuring Alice Springs chicken was decided on. On September 29, 2024, Shelia Taylor, from Outback came to the venue with perfectly cooked food and the dinner was served. The event was a complete success! She was kind and gracious to the guests and understood the importance of the occasion. We will surely call on Shelia Taylor, and Outback again for our catering needs. Jayme Watson President BSM NELA6

10-29-19 dinner. Once we were seated it felt like we was there for a very long time before anyone came to take our order. Once someone took our order and we received our food there was long periods of time where we didn’t see any waitresses in the store much less anyone helping us like refilling the drinks etc.. they must have been extremely shorthanded. The food was not bad at all and had good presentation. Overall I would return to this location I would just hope we would have more attention from the waiter or waitress.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews. I just chew through the trash and never go back, but since no one reads reviews for large chains, I will give my honest opinion.
I went in expecting mediocrity, but I received a bag filled with far less. I ordered 4 filets, medium rare. I received 3 filets and a kidney bean shaped piece of… meat. That is the kindest I can be. It was meat, and I bet DNA tests would even show that it was cow…. but it was not a filet. I’m no cow surgeon, nor am I a butcher, but I know the general shape and texture of a filet, and this didn’t pass inspection.
It would all be fine if it was a bargain. I have eaten my fair share of bad, cheap meals, but this whole order was 187 dollars. With no exaggeration, I can make better fillets from Rayville Walmart for well under a quarter of that price, sides included. That isn’t bragging – I feel confident, Dear Reader, that you could do the same. I feel confident that my 7 and 6 year olds could do it, and they show no such aptitude for epicurean pursuits.
You can’t be less convenient, more expensive and worse tasting… one of those three has to be a positive value to make it a realistic trade off. This outback is inferior in all the categories.
I didn’t mention the other food items. They don’t deserve mention. Were they bad? No. Were they good? No. They were extra money for no additional culinary value.
I know what you are thinking. “What did you expect? It is outback.” I didn’t expect anything more than I do from all the other chains. A predictable meal at a reasonable-ish price. It failed on both counts. Not cool. Never again.
