⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Experience at Eddie’s Taco House
I had an amazing meal today at Eddie’s Taco House on Cevallos, and it absolutely deserves a 5-star review.
The highlight of my visit was the Beef Fajita Taco Salad, which was fantastic. The beef fajita was tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the salad was fresh and generously portioned. Everything tasted homemade and authentic—exactly what you hope for when you’re craving great Tex-Mex.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. You can tell the staff takes pride in keeping the restaurant well maintained. The environment felt relaxed and friendly, making it a great place to enjoy a meal.
The service was excellent as well—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you feel appreciated as a customer. Ask for one of Epi’s tables.
If you’re in San Antonio and looking for delicious Tex-Mex with great service and a clean, friendly environment, Eddie’s Taco House is definitely worth the visit. I’ll definitely be back!

I had the gordita plate special with iced tea and choice of Charro or refried beans. I chose the Charro beans. Beans had hot dog weenies like Mom used to make. Both Gorditas were very nicely stuffed.
Huevos Rancheros plate was very flavorful & cooked to order. You can’t beat the price at $4.99 before 10:30 AM.
We’ll definitely be returning soon! Bring cash to save on CC fees.

There was a little bit of a crowd when I walked in but was seated immediately. Approached by the server very fast. She was amazingly friendly. Food was at the table within 10 minutes and was delicious and high quality. It was just a simple omelette but everything was was good. Fast service good food friendly employees, no more to ask for!

Ok I came by and bought the fajita plate Special for lunch. I normally come by for their breakfast tacos specials. Their tacos are small burritos lol. The menu is diverse with decent and affordable prices. So far the food has been delicious. The staff is very friendly and fast. This is through the drive by. I haven’t been inside to experience their wait staff service but as of now I’ve had great experience at this eaterie. It’s always packed and busy for a good reason!

Service was top tier perfection! I received my 5 plates of food within 5 minutes of ordering. The young lady at the window was very welcoming and nice. I arrived around 12:47PM, receipt #421-1. These employees were amazing and need to be recognized for their dedication and hard work. Great job Eddies!

I ordered the nachos. They were NOT your typical nachos with your plate piled with chips and covered with toppings. These were like “modern” nachos. There were only 8 or 10 chips laid out on my plate with the toppings laid in top of them. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, very tasty, and A LOT of toppings but I want my pile o’ chips to scoop up all the yummies! So, for that…I’m out! No, but really, they were good but I won’t order them again. Kinda disappointed.

This is a great local place that you have to try. It’s a “old school feel” place where locals gather. A must for breakfast!!! They have awesome special before 1030 am. They have the taco packs for large groups. I had the chilaquilles with a pork chop for $7.99 but you have to get the special before 1030 am. Lunch plates are affordable and tacos are the star here! The barbacoa is “chef’s kiss” #1. The salsa Verde they have is fresh and on spot
