Greta little place! Somewhat hidden around the corner at the Askews strip mall but worth the trip!
The waitress was pleasant to deal with and smiling while I asked questions and ordered.
The food came out fairly quickly and was delicious! I had the chicken bento box! Plenty of food, left feeling comfortably full.
The atmosphere is clean and happy! Enjoyed my visit and will make a trip again some time!

Had a great lunch here. Was greeted by a very friendly and attentive server. My usual order of sashimi and rolls was very tasty, with portions on the larger side. Treated myself to some great gyoza that was nice and crispy on the outside. Miso soup was also great. The space is packed into a little corner in the mall, which is what it is, no big deal. Only knock? Interior is pretty dated, although it’s very spacious and welcoming. Will definitely be back the next time I am in Armstrong!

Quiet and comfortable this is the best place in Armstrong to get lunch. Service was quick and the server was very polite and kind. Also the food was amazing. As I am new to the area i was looking for a new resturant to replace my old sushi place and am so glad to have found Haru! I will definitely be ordering a lot from here!!

Was a great place before they hired a newer waitress. Been a regular here for 4 years and the last few times we’ve been the service from one waitress was honestly deplorable.
Tried to go for a nice birthday dinner and walked in to a busy restaurant. Stood at the door patiently waiting to be told where to sit or if there was even any room for us. The waitress walked up and I smiled and said “hi”. She looked our party up and down and ignored us. After around 10 minutes of standing at the door and her passing us 4 times, we walked out. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go there as long as she works there. She’s rude everytime we go and really makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing her just by walking into the building. Foods good. Old service was good.

Placed take out order, simple , couple sushi rolls, tempura, was told 20 mins. Showed up on time, food wasn’t ready. Waited almost another 15 mins… the tempura was greasy and oil drenched.. terrible… the sushi was ok , nice presentation on the spicy tuna roll and flavour on point. Thus , gave credit for decent sushi rolls otherwise it’s not worth ordering the tempura . First time there … they weren’t busy.

This was my first time dining in at Haru. I showed up at 3pm and hadn’t eaten breakfast yet. I splurged as I ordered asparagus tempura, yam tempura rolls, veggie yakisoba, and nestea. After tax and a 20 percent tip I paid $44.
This meal was absolutely delicious. I am getting hungry just from writing this. The rolls are huge. The asparagus tempura was crunchy. The veggie yakisoba had that perfect flavour.
I highly recommend their menu if you come here. They know what they are doing.
