Stopped by Loves Fish Box on a Tuesday afternoon after the sign caught my eye—and I’m so glad I turned around! Clean place, no old oil smell, and a cozy country, quaint, vintage vibe.
I got the $8.99 special with three large white fish fillets, coleslaw, and hush puppies. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious.
Highly recommend—5 stars for food and atmosphere!

Fish Camp 101 – Fast Hot Tasty Plenty Roomy – I enjoyed this so much. From the moment we entered until we left it just felt good. We both got the Alasken White Fish, me with fries and her with fried okra. Next time i;ll slow down and read the menu on the wall. That’s alot of menu. Looking forward to our next visit. Sorry I forgot the “before” pictures.

I love coming here but the last few times the food is not very good. The salad was hat comes with the beef tips is terrible like it came straight out of a bag. Tonight I had the flounder, the fish was great piping hot and fresh but the fries and puppies are soft and cold. You can tell they have been cooked for a while.

I’m from out of town and my friends took me here for the first time recently. I liked their set up-you order and pay up front, pass through a room to obtain all your your drinks, napkins, utensils, etc. find a table, wait until your number is called, and then go back up front to retrieve your order. Your food is conveniently served in takeout boxes instead of plates. No waitress you have to rely on to refill your drinks or bring you anything; you serve yourself! Each table had an ample supply of paper towels and condiments. The Christmas decor was marvelous and no corner was untouched! Even the many fish on the walls were all wearing Santa hats! There is so much to look at in there! The food was tasty and you are given generous amounts. I loved their catfish, deviled crab, cole slaw, and hush puppies. There were a great variety of different items offered instead of just fish including beef, chicken, salads, sandwiches, etc. The next time I visit, I will definitely ask to come back!

I phoned in my order and arrived before the order was ready. When I got to my car and opened the box so the food would stay crispy I found all of it already turning cold and very soggy. It was also extremely greasy. Fried doesn’t have to be that greasy. Loves used to be the best local go to seafood place but I have been disappointed the last few times I have been. It has been about 6 months since I have been and decided to try it again. That’s what prompted my review. The food also tasted like it was fried in old grease. Sad.

I had business in Kings Mountain today, stopped in here for lunch, not knowing what I would find. I ordered the large salt and pepper catfish. Very good, very hot, and very tasty. I’ll be back, and the ladies behind the counter were very sweet.

Food was very bland we had salt and pepper catfish neither of us cared for it. Fries seemed to have been sitting a bit. It is counter service only and you eat out of a Styrofoam box. Cost way more than it was worth

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Kings Mountain. They’re always busy, so call ahead if you’re starving. The entire staff is friendly and hard-working.
I want to call out Amanda for being an absolute all-star! I managed restaurants for over 15 years, and she is the type of employee I was always looking for. A hard ass worker with a great personality. It was packed when I went in, but she was getting it done, and still found time to talk and joke around with the customers. Give that woman a raise!

First time customer, Food was really good and I got a good amount of food for the price!! The ladies behind the counter were really nice and I didn’t feel rushed to order! There was a wait time but considering it was dinner and they were very busy but it was worth the wait. I will revisit again!!
