I’m so bummed. Since moving out to Geneva, China Wok was our go-to for Chinese food. Today I brought home our carry-out order and with just one look knew something was wrong. What used to be covered in Teriyaki sause was now dried strips of chicken sitting in what looked like weak tea. Not gravy, not even broth, tea is all I can think of. It made me gag. I called the restaurant and asked of they had a new cook, they said yes. In fact ownership had changed two weeks ago. They said they were open to suggestions in the future like “heavy with sauce” but sadly this was beyond redemption. It was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. We threw out $36 worth of food. Even the egg rolls were bad. Now we have to look for a new Chinese restaurant.
EDITED TO ADD: The owner did call me back and offer me something else off the menu for free and with my suggestions on how to prepare it. That was nice. I’d recommend they work with the past owner for coaching on preparation of their popular dishes. They are the best source if inside information and preparation secrets.

I really wanted to like this place, unfortunately it’s a no. My cashew chicken had peanuts instead of cashews. Really odd to have a savory sauce with peanuts. The eggs rolls were just big globs of gray pork, no signs of shredded veggies in there. The fried rice was tasty but it definitely tasted like a flavor packet rice from the store.

First time ordering from here today. Placed an order online and picked up within 15 minutes. I ordered sesame chicken with fried rice and egg roll as part of the lunch combo. Everything was fresh and delicious just like the Chinese spots back in New York. I would recommend this place.

I am so happy they are opened again. They were temporally closed which finding another restaurant that services the same quality of food is a challenge in this area. We always order take out and the food has great flavor and cooked well. We always order the fried rices and lo mien which any of the versions are good. General Tsao and Sesame Chicken.

I have ordered from China Wok several times over the past few weeks and I am so happy I found them. I’ve ordered the Fresh Mango chicken and the Pad Thai every time, they are both so yummy I can’t help myself. The food always arrives so quickly and piping hot and fresh. Just an absolute treat.

Called to place an order on Christmas. The system was acting up and the lady said I would call you back. They did not call, so I called back. Again the system was down and the guy gave me a run around. So I called again and explained that I placed an order and paid and was wondering if it went through. The woman said the kitchen would call. No call from the kitchen at all.
