Photo 1. Cheeseburger with pickles and onions. This was the presentation. I asked for the manager and he looked at it and said “you have a torn pickle”

Minsky’s food is very good and that is why we keep going back. However, when you go out to eat and you have a $100 tab, you expect quality food and great service.
Minsky’s has a great reputation and a great following. After three disappointing meals, we are ready to explore other Kansas City options.
Oh, by the way, the bar staff never wash their hands. They bus tables then make drinks and never wash their hands. Watch them and you will see for yourself.

I honestly have never been to this branch/store of Minsky but by my mistake found out quickly they are not the same. I mostly always go to the Liberty location and its always been great. Anyway, was on the Zona side of town so did a call in for pick up for my regular order. The person who took order wasn’t even sure what was included in the “deal” I ordered. Then added a small thin crust pepperoni for my grandson in case he didnt like the ones with lots of stuff. I was flabbergasted when I went to pay and the small, thin crust was 18.99 and tiny. I so wish I would’ve opened the pizzas before leaving, because I would have left them there! They were trash. $80 for 3 pizzas and the $20 small pizza was so burnt and no pepperoni it was even touched. Lesson learned! Never again.

We’ll do this in order: Hostess has attitude due to requesting a booth during non busy time. She was definately more interested in her phone than resteraunt presence. Hope she makes 60+K annually. Wait staff was actually professional, however, my drink was never refilled. Ordered pizza well done, but pie was “normal” and not well done. Overall, youthful people are not being taught service ethos, or owner does not care about experience of patrons. The venue comes across as a sports bar, but feels like a tee ball tournament. It is the Winter season, so perhaps that is to blame.

It has wifi, outlets, great food, sports on the wall and some good, local service. If 8 lived near here, I could see this being a good place to hang out. For someone in town on business, I definitely recommend making this your go to spot. Good prices as well.

Go to another location or don’t come at all. $35 for a SMALL undercooked pizza with cheese that isn’t melted and undercooked dough is insane. Called them and they acted suspicious (rightly so) about my complaints. Had to wait for the replacement and they requested the old one back all to replace it with with one with not even half as as much meat as the original. I paid for extra meat. $35 and an hour later I am greatly disappointed. Sad because Minskys was a favorite- but this location is awful.

I love the Pappa Minsky pizza, so much flavor with delicious red peppers. The staff is friendly and the service is really good.

PROs: Good location but at busy intersection however you can’t hear the traffic while inside. Plenty of parking. Large menu selections. Large establishment with plenty of indoor seatings. Large bar area as well. Plenty of TVs to watch games. Place was neat and tidy. Service is always kind and quick here. Manager (professional and kind) came over to chat with us. Food was great! Love their pizzas!

Minsky’s Pizza never disappoints! I recently dined at their Kansas City location, and everything from the atmosphere to the food was fantastic. The menu has such a great variety, from classic options to unique specialty pizzas – there’s something for everyone.
I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, which was flavorful and had the perfect amount of cheese. The crust was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and just the right thickness. We also tried their garlic cheese bread, which was the ideal starter – warm, cheesy, and delicious.
The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. Whether you’re dining in with family or grabbing takeout for a cozy night at home, Minsky’s consistently delivers top-notch quality. Definitely my go-to pizza spot in KC!

If you’re getting takeout, make sure it’s cooked before you drive off. We decided to get some appetizers to share for dinner, specifically the buffalo chicken egg rolls and the garlic bacon cheese rolls. The buffalo chicken egg rolls were pretty good (wish the ranch came with it), but our problem was the garlic bacon cheese roll. Took it home and it was completely RAW on the inside, I had to bake it for another 15 minutes for it to be cooked all the way through. I was also disappointed in the very first bite I was chewing on a whole raw garlic clove. It was extremely disappointing and a waste of money. All things considered I still recommend their taco pizza and calzones
