The parking is rough. I had to circle around for 5 minutes to get a spot. The server was slow in getting to our table and in bringing out our salads. However, it was VERY busy at the time. Call an hour ahead because I heard the hostess tell a walk in that it would be a 2 hour wait. With all that, the food was excellent… worth the wait. A 16oz ribeye with bread, soup/salad, and side for $26… and it was a quality steak. Cooked perfectly to medium rate just like I ordered. You’d pay twice that much for this steak anywhere else. It’s a must go.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Our server was great, young tall guy with dark hair, super polite. I had the stuffed grouper with broccoli and potato soup. Fish was melt in your mouth good. Actually cleaned my plate which never happens. Husband got the ribeye, cooked perfect, and the French onion soup was solid too. Definitely worth a visit.

Lucky’s was highly recommended to me by a few people so I decided to visit this restaurant for the first time and I was not disappointed. The steak was juicy, well seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium temperature. The potatoes were cheesy and delicious. The salad was fresh and the calamari was absolutely amazing. I also had an Old Fashioned to drink and it was strong and well made.

In addition to a great meal we had exceptional service which made for an overall excellent experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be back again in the next future.

Had a super nice lunch today with my husband, sister and brother-in-law. Friendly and efficient staff! I had the Tacos off the Starters selection and they were fantastic; way bigger than I thought they would be; tasty sauce. My husband ordered the Perch that comes with mashed potatoes and choice of soup and a side; large portion of fried Perch in a delicious batter; brussel sprouts were seasoned and cooked nice and crispy. All in all a great experience today

My family and I have been coming to Lucky’s for many years and getting takeout numerous times. This time was the LAST time we will EVER GO BACK! We ordered carryout for our Anniversary. We ordered multiple items and brought them home. One of the items was the Buffalo Chicken Tenders with Onion Rings. Those came SUPER SOGGY. Another item was the Fried Ravioli with Marinara. No marinara. Called to inform them. The manager Kathy and Alicia were the WORST managers EVER! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Should not be representing any company! Reason why is because we called to inform them of the food we received and didn’t receive. They told us to put the SOGGY appetizer in the freezer and when we want to come back bring it in and they will make new. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Then the marinara sauce that was missing that goes hand and hand with the ravioli was told that we should have some kind of sauce like that in our cupboard. I can’t believe the answers were “put it in the freezer and you should have marinara in your home.” LUCKY’S you just lost good paying customers because of the lack of customer service and lack of caring for your customers.

The Detail Pro
If you’re looking for a dining experience that hits every single note—from the atmosphere to the service to the very last sip of your cocktail—Lucky’s Prime Time Steakhouse in Rochester is the absolute gold standard. We visited recently and, frankly, I’m still thinking about the meal.
The Service: Five-Star Treatment
Right from the jump, our server, James, elevated the entire evening. It’s rare to find someone so perfectly “on it.” He was top-notch—knowledgeable, attentive, and didn’t miss a single beat. He paced the meal perfectly, ensuring we never felt rushed but were always looked after. If you go, do yourself a favor and ask for his section.
The Cocktails: A Sweet Kick
We started with the Salted Caramel Espresso Cocktail, and it was easily the best version of an espresso martini I’ve ever had. It was balanced, rich, and had that perfect salty-sweet finish that makes it dangerously drinkable. It’s the kind of drink that sets the tone for a high-end evening.
The Main Course: Steak Perfection
The food at Lucky’s is clearly handled by people who respect the ingredients. Here is the breakdown of what we enjoyed:
The “Prime Time” Prime Rib: I went with the namesake cut, and it was spectacular. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender, seasoned beautifully, and cooked to a precise medium-rare.
The Brussels Sprouts: These deserve a review all their own. They are to absolute die for. Even if you think you don’t like sprouts, order these. They are crispy, savory, and completely addictive.
Gorgonzola Ribeye: My wife ordered this, and it was a flavor explosion. The richness of the gorgonzola crust paired with the high-quality marbling of the ribeye was a match made in heaven.
Au Gratin Potatoes: The ultimate comfort side. They were cheesy, thinly sliced, and baked to perfection.
The Verdict
Lucky’s Prime Time Steakhouse isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to celebrate great food and even better service. Between the flawless steaks and James’s incredible hospitality, we’ve already decided this is our new go-to spot in Rochester.
Highly recommended!

Lucky’s Steakhouse in Rochester Hills is a fantastic spot for a great meal, and our recent lunch experience was excellent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a classic steakhouse feel—perfect for a casual meal or a special occasion.

We ordered the 16oz ribeye steak and the Lucky Steak Time special, and both dishes exceeded expectations. The ribeye was cooked to perfection, with a delicious char on the outside and a juicy, tender inside. The seasoning was just right, enhancing the natural flavors of the steak without overpowering it. The portion size was generous, making it well worth the price.

The Lucky Steak Time special was also a great choice. It came with a perfectly cooked steak, sides, and a fresh salad, making it a satisfying and well-balanced meal. The sides were flavorful and well-prepared, complementing the main dishes beautifully.

Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Melvin was knowledgeable and made sure we had everything we needed. He was always smiling and looked us in the eyes . What I mean is that he actually listen and understood what we wanted .

Overall, Lucky’s Steakhouse delivers on quality, portion size, and value. If you’re in the Rochester Hills area and craving a great steak, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Have been going here for years and was happy but now 2025/2026 not so much. Everytime I order prime rib med rare I get med well so I went to rare one time perfect next time practically raw. My husband also orders prime rib same way. And mine was thin and the his was thick although we both ordered the 10 ounce. The loaded baked potato is not freshly made, the cheese looks like it was baked on the potato the day before. Things have really gone downhill. We don’t mind paying for quality and consistency. Let me also mention that the knives they give you are so dull you end up fighting with your meat. The last time we went there last week we brought our own! No one should have to do that. Moving forward we will go to Clawson steak house or Paul’s chop house where I know what I’m going to order will be better and consistent!

The sirloin steak was excellent and red skin mashed potatoes and a beautiful salad was so much food I had two meals out of this! Huge amount of top quality. Get there early before 4pm or you will have a wait as this place is popular! Outstanding service and quality and quantity. Oh the garlic bread they bring you is the best! A plus to this restaurant congrats to this business!!!!

The food was EXCELLENT! The portions were very GENEROUS and the prices were very REASONABLE! The Waiter was good and the only issue is the ladies’ restroom toilet was filthy under the rim, and the manager seemed UNCONCERNED!

Yes, the manager pretty much ignored me when brought to her attention along with fact that there was no paper towel either and I had to go out and ask for bar napkins to dry my hands!
