Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

One of the 29 Whataburgers in the KC Metro
The outside is clean and crisp with that new location feel. Drive thru busy was consistent.
Concrete is starting to get hum and grease.
Inside was bright and cheerful. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The menus listed the products well.
Downside- well done fries were not well done , it was corrected quickly.
Someone tracked mud in across all the mats and it fell off under the seats. We were there 40 minutes and no one attempted to clean it off the floor or for that matter, no tables or chairs were cleaned in that time frame.

It’s 9:30pm went to whataburger only to see all of the chairs put up on the tables, ok I will eat in my car, I order food and a shake, no shakes because they stop serving them two hours before they close. They close at 11:00 pm. I will never eat here again, Freddy’s has plenty of seating and lots of chocolate shakes. Come on Patrick Mahomes do better for the community.

The people at this location are outstanding! Brandi is just terrific! And the space is very cool with Chiefs’ jersey as a show stopper…plus they bring the food out to your table and it’s just a very cool and relaxing place to grab lunch or dinner. 🙂

The KM Roofing crew rolled through Whataburger for a quick lunch stop, and let me tell you, this place fed us like we were about to shingle the gates of heaven. Chicken was juicy and cooked right, fries had that golden crunch, and the spicy ketchup? A revival in a packet.

This is my favorite Whataburger in the KC area and I am a frequent customer. As a transplanted Texan, I know my Whataburgers. The managers and crew are always friendly and helpful. The dining room is consistently clean and comfortable. The big payoff is the food is always served to your table hot and fresh. Yesterday I had a Sweet and Spicy double burger that was prepared to perfection and was DELICIOUS! I’ll be returning soon.

The burger is blah. If you like cheese. You will like it. But I thought the cheese is over powering due to it was cut thick. They put the ketchup I asked for on the lettuce side and nothing on the burger side. I want my burger patty to have ketchup. Not the lettuce. Odd choice.

1st time there. The burger, chicken strips, and fries were great. The chocolate shake was very weak. When it came, it was almost vanilla ice cream. We asked about it, and the server said she would go try one and let us know. No one ever came back. We ate it but it was not chocolatly at all.

Fast food restaurants suck. Besides Chick-Fila, I will not patronize them as usually the quality of food and especially the service is consistently disappointing. We live in the St. Louis area and we were in the KC area this past weekend and so we ventured into this Whataburger for lunch. This is my plea for Patrick Mahommes to open up one here in the St. Louis area. The restaurant was clean, the food was exceptional for fast food and a special shout out to Glen who was behind the counter taking my order. I have never experienced a fast food employee (including Chick-fila) who was so welcoming, thorough, knowledgable and kind. This guy should be at corporate training employees how to interact with customers. Seriously, film this guy and make all your employees emulate him. Get him a raise yesterday.

I’ve been here three times now and each time has been really really good. I decided to try Whataburger for the first time in probably a few years again about a month ago maybe and love the chicken. I had tried a burger once but thought it was kinda mid for the price and haven’t gotten one again. This time I found the kiosks so I can customize my own stuff to my liking without having to bother the employees lol. They have been nice every time and the food has been awesome. The drink sizes are also so overkill but might as well get refills to go!
