Everything waS GREAT and I mean EVERYTHING. I hate that I slept on them. I stay in the area twice a year for months at a time, Spring & Fall due to work. I kept saying I’ll stop in, never did butttt today was the day!! From the time I entered and was greeted as if I was a celebrity to the time I sat down and someone from the bar came and poured my drink on the outside patio, just wow…excellent service. The chefs did their thing on the food as well. 5 star restaurant for sure. Recommend the Sunset drink and the salmon and shrimp. My Whiskey drink was good as well. The Lobster queso was yummy, my salad was just right…wasn’t drowning in dressing or dry. Desert, I loved the bread pudding, warm caramel and cold vanilla ice-cream and nuts…like a turtle type, yummy.

We used to love Firebirds back when they were a much smaller chain. We’d drive down to Short Pump, as that was the only one around it was really good.
After they expanded, we’ve tried nearly all of them in the Northern VA region and have found them to be very inconsistent.
We recently decided to try the Fredericksburg location for a weekday lunch. The staff were great, very friendly and attentive. The menu is always amazing, the issue comes in the execution.
In our case, the chicken tortilla soup was very good. Their table bread came out piping hot and was also very good. My grouper sandwich was OK. The fish was overly fishy tasting, which had me concerned about freshness. The fish was also somewhat broken up, so it was difficult to pick up the sandwich to eat like a sandwich, so I ended up using a fork and knife. I will say that all the toppings and the bread all came together to taste very nice.
My wife ordered a Cobb salad which had grilled chicken on it. She liked the flavor and freshness of the salad veggies and dressing, but couldn’t eat the chicken. It was dark, like it had been cooked a couple of days prior and far from fresh. The texture was rubbery and chunky, rather gross.
She told our server and he was quick to remove that entrée from the bill, which was nice.
As I mentioned, service was very good. But consistency in food prep is one of my biggest issues with Firebirds, regardless of location. It’ll probably be a couple of years before we decide to give them another try.

This had been my 2nd time at this location and this restaurant with in 5 months and it’s officially my favorite spot now. Those wings are . All the food I’ve had here had been seasoned to perfection, not too much and not so less of seasoning. . . delicious !!! it!!!

This is our second time here and the food is always so good. We didn’t have a reservation but there was open seating in the bar/lounge area which was available and comfy. I love the ahi tuna and the steak never disappoints. I was excited to see bread pudding as a dessert because it’s one of my favorites. Being that I was already stuffed it took it to go. It was like a runny mushy oatmeal instead of bread pudding. I was so disgusted with the texture. Please work on your recipe or remove it, it was that bad.

We’ve seen this place for years and never stopped in. Welppp today was the day. Its beautiful inside and the service was great. Sat down quickly and got our food fast. Today wasn’t great. The food was fresh and cooked well. But the taste was off. I would give it another try but I’d get different choices. My wife did say her lemon and blueberry desert was good!

Stopped in and decided to order off the happy hour menu. The nachos were good but the steak tacos were fantastic. I regret not ordering adult beverages because their cocktails and bar selections were outstanding. This was my first visit but I hope to visit again soon. Great food and service.

Daryus was our waiter he was awesome! His service was great and gave great suggestions on food options and well as letting us know what was the better deal as far at the 3 course over just an entree and a side.
My fiancé got the 3 course meal. The BLT salad was amazing and was very large. Both our steaks tasted amazing. And to top it all off the crème brûlée cheesecake was to die for. He was very personally connecting with us as one of us had an Ohio state shirt on and he’s a fan and gave us a fist bump. They are 5 out of 5 stars but he gave a 10 out of 5 stars of service

Everything was wonderful. The egg rolls were crispy and filled with tender meat. The chicken sandwich with the honey was delicious. The sandwich is a nice size with two pieces of chicken. I tasted the lobster dip too; it had a nice amount of lobster.

We arrived on a Monday in May around 6:00 PM. We had a reservation as we had a group of about 12 people. We were taken to our table immediately. The interior is bright and open with high ceilings and lots of wine bottles mounted on the walls. The staff is friendly although the service was a tad slow. Dirty plates were left on the table too long, but they were eventually picked up. The wine list has a good selection with many common ones you can find at Costco but with a much higher price tag. There are about a half a dozen draft beers, and they offer more in bottles. The food menu isn’t huge but there is enough to please everyone. Steak dominates so carnivores rejoice! Very good bread and butter was delivered to the table. For an appetizer, we had the Deviled Eggs. The egg whites were fully stuffed and piled high. It was definitely different with a spicy and sweet combo including maple bacon, jalapeno slices and a hot sauce drizzle on the side. They were yummy! For my dinner, I settled on the Seared Tuna Salad while my spouse got the Colorado Chicken Salad. The Tuna Salad was very good but expensive for a salad. The Tuna was fresh, tender, lightly seared and not covered in spices. The Chicken Salad (also pricey) was a good combination of flavors, but the chicken was obviously precooked as it was dry. Several of our seatmates ordered the rib eye steak which they said was great. Several others got the burgers, and they ate them right up. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience just be prepared to spend some $$$. FYI – There is limited parking in front so there may be walking involved from the large parking area behind the restaurant.
