Overall experience was ok. Food was actually pretty good. Could cook the green beans a lil longer. Ummm the wine was good. The dessert however……..was out of this world. It was so delicious. We had pickle fries and firecracker shrimp for apps. I had the salmon with red potatoes and green beans. He had brisket with carrots and cabbage. And the dessert was Jameson® Irish Whiskey Bread Pudding.

Been going here for years and it’s of my favorite restaurants in hampton roads.
The fact that you can show up on a week night and they have a 30 min wait tells you how great this place is.
The food is amazing, great drink selection, and it’s always packed with people having a great time.
The Shepards pie is my favorite dish. They make it with lamb meat like is supposed to be.
Cant say enough about this place.

Had a wonderful meal with the wife and kiddos. Got to try a few new beers and have some extremely tasty food. Our waitress was spot on and very knowledgeable about the beers and able to make suggestions on what to have. Normally I have a ton of pics but I was trying to entertain the wee ones.

Had a great lunch today at park lane tavern. Our server Jasmine was very nice and great at her job. She even got us a nice cold water with ice dog bowl for our dog. For food we had the French dip and the alpine chicken sandwich. The French dip was amazing with lots of flavor even better when dipped in the dipping sauce. The alpine sandwich was very moist and cooked to perfection for everything. The French fries are filling and lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. Definitely coming back again to try more on the menu. All around great place for a lunch.

My wife and I had been wanting to try this place for a while for the fish n chips and Beef wellington. we finally went a few weeks ago. Place looks pretty kool inside had an old pub feel people were nice customer servicw was good. we ending up gettin the fish n chips and the schnitzel. enjoyed it all the schnitzel took me back to when i was stationed im Germany. we will be making a return for the beef wellington next.

Service was a mixed bag: I was seated for about 10 minutes before anyone came by to my table even to acknowledge that someone would come by. But once when the waitress came, she was nice and friendly. It felt like they don’t know what to do with solo diners.
The place needs some updating, yes while it’s a tavern could use better lighting and updated trendy decor. There was a time when a waitress adjusted the blinds by standing on table to roll it up, couldn’t it be done before the restaurant opened? My food was good, I got the steak salad. Dressing was orange cranberry. One more thing – the bartender was sneezing like crazy into her hands and not a single time did I see her wash her hands before she picked up the glasses to serve drinks at the bar – thank goodness I wasn’t getting anything from the bar!

We had a birthday dinner last night at Park Lane Tavern – Kempsville. My first visit. Great atmosphere. Wonderful group of musicians playing background music. Good menu selection.
But, the standout for our party of 5 was our server — Grace S.! She was so accommodating & made sure all our needs were met. Grace went out of her way to provide a 5-star experience at Park Lane Tavern!! Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable!!

We had the pork schnitzel meal and makers mark chicken meal. Both were good. My chicken was amazing! Only complaints were the veggies. Green beans and asparagus needed flavored and steamed a little more. Oh, my hubby said the sour kraut was dry and not very good. Overall we enjoyed it though. Service was great!

The food was really good! Had to send back a Drink though . HOWEVER ! Our waiter Gabe was amazing! Not only was he on his A game with service but he was very kind and held small conversation. He made the experience 100 x more pleasant and was like talking to a friend and not just somebody doing his job ! He made it very personal.

My first time at Park Lane was wonderful! The food was great, the people were great, vibes were great. A tavern on a rainy day… if you squint and tilt your head, it’s almost like you’re in Europe and not Kempsville. The s’mores-tini was so good. Our server, Liz, was so kind and attentive. She recommended lots of great finds. I almost didn’t get the bread pudding, but Liz convinced me. The bread pudding was my favorite of ALL 3 desserts I ordered. I look forward to trying other menu items.
