Food was old as hell! Oil was old as hell. Breading was darker than slaves in the 1800’s. Food was nasty. Order was taken incorrectly and served even worse. Even the fries were old and soggy. It’s McDonald’s, not rocket science, do your job right. Pathetic

Yesterday, between 9 PM and 5 AM on January 1st, I was picking up orders for DoorDash at this store and I saw how crowded it was.
At one point, it was clear that there were only two girls in the kitchen, a guy at the drive-thru window, and a woman at the front counter, whom I’m here to praise. It seemed like she was working alone, only receiving some support from the team; it looked like she was the one in charge the whole time, and I was very impressed with her efficiency and friendliness despite the extreme crowd. She also had a very good memory because when we arrived to pick up the order, she already had an idea of whether she was preparing that customer’s order or not.
Anyway, congratulations!!! Give this woman a raise!

Ordered and paid for a large caramel macchiato, but received a medium. But the overcharging/not receiving what we paid for is not the aspect of my experience at this McDonald’s that was extreme enough for me to make the effort of writing a review. I have been in a good number of McDonald’s restrooms~ in large part because they are typically nice and kept very clean. Well I can now say that I was mistaken, and that is not a feature of McDonald’s in general, I apparently had just gotten lucky prior to today. The toilet in this women’s room was absolutely repulsive. One of, if not the most, abhorrent toilet I’ve been unfortunate enough to encounter out of the 100s I’ve visited. The worst part is (as you can even see in my attached photo), the floor was still wet from having been very recently mopped. So an employee, tasked with cleaning the restrooms, had been in there for at least several minutes and spent up close and personal time with that toilet in that same condition, and then chose to just walk away rather than actually doing anything about it.
I attached a photo I took, as I was concerned people might think I was exaggerating how disgusting it actually was. Before it dawned on me to snap a pic, I had already wiped the considerable amount of pee and lord knows what else off most of the seat, so just be aware that what you’re seeing is actually cleaner than what I walked into.

Put an order in on the mobile app and arrived around 4am to this location. A sign was taped to the drive thru saying they were closed for maintenance until 4. But it was 4:02 by the time we arrived and the mobile app automatically started processing the order since my location put me there; the app will know you’ve arrived. I tried going inside and it was locked, and the manager came up and said that since her system wasn’t done rebooting I would have to wait at least 20 more minutes before I could get my order. She couldn’t help me cancel the order, or offer any solution for me because she explained she’s just the night manager. When I said I would be reaching out to her higher up she refused to give me her name. I can’t cancel the order or start a new order on the app because it’s still pending at their location.

This is THE best McDonalds I’ve ever been to. Throughout the entire time at the place I was just thinking, “Wow, THIS is a McDonalds? This is awesome!” EVERYTHING was super duper clean, it was lowkey unreal how tidy this place was. I attached a picture of the store below for anyone curious. Staff was nice and patient when I listed my order with a lot of ingredient changes to my Big Mac, which they all correctly included. Staff did their job well, and the food? Awesome. My Big Mac had a perfectly shaped, soft bun and it was the perfect temperature. My ice cream didn’t melt quickly and the sticker on the cone fully ripped off from the first try, a first for a McDonalds cone in my experience LOL. Anyway, 10/10 McDonalds 🙂

I would never come back here again. This was the worst drive through experience I ever have ever had. He was extremely rude. We left the line because they were so rude, we didn’t trust they would properly prepare our food. Genuinely the worst drive through encounter in Sarasota. Horrible.

Who’s reviewing McDonald’s? Usually only upset customers or chronic reviewers. Well I’m not upset.
Drive thru line had a bit of a wait, but my order was correct and warm. And the guy at the window beat me to saying “have a good night” which is 5 star service at a McD’s.
Architecturally it’s a bid weird for a McDonald’s, not sure what to make of the fenced off patio with no seating and no gate. Maybe it’s time for a renovation.
