Popped into this cute coffee shop on our travels to grab some warm drinks on a chilly fall morning. We ordered a hot Maple Syrup Latte, a hot chocolate, and a chocolate-dipped donut with sprinkles. The drinks were wonderful and the donut, while a little dense, was a tasty sweet treat to pair with our drinks! They had a variety of baked goods, snacks, and breakfast sandwiches, along with a nice selection of gluten-free options. The line was just barely out the door when we arrived, but it moved pretty quick and once we had placed our order, it was only a couple of minutes before we received the drinks and were out the door. Would love to revisit if coming through the area again!

Love the small attention details. Beautiful and Halloween decorated shot with adorable Frankenstein and Ghost sugar cookies for the season. Friendly staff and great coffee! No indoor seating but still totally worth going and grabbing treats to go or take advantage of the outdoor seating.

I was so excited to try Olive’s Coffee & Bakehouse after seeing it on the map near where I was staying for vacation. I like that they open bright and early at 6am so you can grab a cup around sunrise. I tried their seasonal iced chocolate-covered cherry latte, and oh my, was it delicious! I was not expecting the cherry flavor to come through so strong and taste so real! I didn’t get a chance to ask if it was a housemade cherry sauce or if they used a pre-made syrup, but it was delicious, and not too sweet. I wish there was slightly less chocolate flavor just because it did overpower the espresso a bit, but I still enjoyed every sip! I also ordered a bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese breakfast sandwich on an Everything bagel. The bagel was so soft and fluffy and the bacon was nice and crispy; it was all perfectly balanced and portioned for a nice breakfast! I also wanted to try their signature biscuit, which was a buttermilk biscuit with lemon curd. The biscuit was nice and buttery and soft, but I wish there was more lemon curd! It was only a tiny dollop in the middle on the top, not filled all the way, so it was a bit underwhelming. The next day I came back to try their drip coffee and it was good, but nothing too special. I also felt like the person at the register was kind of annoyed/rushing me (both visits), but the person who was grabbing pastries (both visits) was super friendly. The atomosphere inside was beautiful, and there’s a nice large seating lawn outside with Adirondack chairs, benches, and tables. There are a few pesky yellow jackets though which can be annoying. Also, I’m not sure how the parking works there, but there’s a very tiny parking lot and when I got there all the cars were double-parked. I was worried about someone blocking me in, so when a spot opened up, I didn’t pull in all the way. There’s also some non-specified street parking adjacent to the building and some designated street parking in front. I just wish the parking lot were better labeled so I would have felt more confident staying longer. But overall, I did enjoy this place and would reccomend it for sure!

Today was my first time in and I will DEFINITELY be back!! A friend brought me in to grab coffee and something to eat. I have to be gluten free and at this point I am used to having to pass on food and was planing to just grab a coffee. I was so excited to learn that they not only have gluten free options, but they are delicious!!!! I got a cinnamon muffin, which I haven’t been able to eat in forever, and it was the best (and biggest) gluten free muffin I have ever had! Everyone there was so helpful. After ordering I mentioned that I didn’t know they had gluten free things here and one of the women was so kind and showed me all of the gluten free options they had. For my first time in they made me feel welcome, had amazing options, and were super helpful. I will most definitely be in regularly!!

Found this place randomly on Google driving home from fenway. They had so many bakery items in the case. The girls working were very kind. A couple of spots to street park in front of the building. I had a great latte too! I would go back if I’m ever in the area again

My new work brings me to Newburyport on occasion, so I was really happy to stop by. Fantastic to see Debra and she remembers my “go to” order from the Charlestown days. Sausage, egg, and cheese on toasted English and medium dark roast coffee, black. Both were as delicious as always. Piping hot and just wonderful. The building and decor are absolutely fantastic, and I highly recommend Olive’s.

Absolutely loved this place! Stopped here on a day trip to Newburyport after I saw it on social media and was not disappointed. We ordered the slated caramel latte, the brown sugar cinnamon latte, a croissant bacon egg and cheese, a broche cinnamon roll and a strawberry streusel muffin. Everything was spectacular. The salted caramel was my personal favorite, as it was the PERFECT combo of salty and sweet. My mom loved the brown sugar cinnamon. The cinnamon roll was the last one they had and it was so worth it- perfectly crunchy and soft and the icing was incredible. Prices and sizing were reasonable. I highly recommend coming here if you have the time! I took 1 star off atmosphere only because there was no seating, but it didn’t impact our experience at all, we took it to go and ate it in town 🙂

My recent visit to Olive’s Coffee & Bakehouse in Newburyport, MA, was an absolute delight, and I’m excited to share my experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enchanted by the charming decor, which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s clear that every detail has been thoughtfully curated to ensure a cozy and pleasant visit.
One of the highlights of my visit was discovering their mint matcha latte – a refreshing and innovative twist on the classic matcha latte. It was perfectly balanced, offering a delightful combination of flavors that I hadn’t experienced before. This drink alone is worth a visit!
The staff at Olive’s Coffee & Bakehouse deserves a special mention for their friendliness and excellent service. They were attentive, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work, which added to the overall positive ambiance of the cafe.
The food was nothing short of fantastic. The pastries and breakfast options were plentiful and all looked tempting. I particularly enjoyed the chia seed pudding and the frittata, both of which were flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The chia seed pudding was the perfect blend of texture and taste, while the frittata was cooked to perfection, packed with ingredients that melded together wonderfully.
Overall, Olive’s Coffee & Bakehouse is a gem in Newburyport. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking for delicious food, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by for a truly delightful experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

My mom Kathy, sister Jessica, and me are on a girls trip to Salem. Our hotel was not far from Olive’s and we needed some coffee. All we have to say is WOW!! They were so welcoming and the food/coffee was amazing. We HAD to go back the next day on our way out to get more and they remembered us! It made us feel so good. We wish we had an Olives in Ohio near us. Thank you for a great time ladies. Keep being wonderful
