Heard many good things and finally got to visit. Nice modern, contemporary decor with outside seating available for those nicer evenings.
Plenty of parking and wheelchair accessible.
The food was absolutely delicious, risotto con pollo full of flavour and the portion size is very very generous.
The lasagne, wow the cheese was lovely and again full of flavour. Both of us struggled to finish , although we did keep trying.
Service,all the staff were so friendly, helpful and attentive.
Without a doubt a fantastic local venue that we shall definitely come back and sample the dessert next time.

First time visiting this restaurant and very impressive .
The welcome from the staff member was warm friendly . The restaurant itself is clean and well decorated and impressive .
We ordered starters and mains which all came quickly and were hot and tasty .
The prawns and garlic butter starter was lovely and lasagne piping hot tasty and great value .
The mushroom soup could have been a little creamer and thicker apparently but the chicken and blue cheese main with veg was fantastic .
Waitress offered attentive and friendly service.
Its just a shame the restaurant is so far from where we live as we were visiting relatives .
Well worth a visit.

Really nice place to eat, lovely food, we had pizzas with extra fillings, one of the nicest I’ve ever had. Fantastic desserts, we shared a tiramisu and banoffe pie, both lovely. Also a great selection of wines. I can recommend the 3 Passo Rosso! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The only small niggle, is it was a little chilly, but copable. We will definitely be going back and recommending to friends.

Absolutely amazing experience at Il Grano! I had the fish stew and the monkfish was cooked to perfection — rich, flavourful and just right. The starter of mussels was delicious, and that creamy sauce was so tasty. Everyone else was thrilled with their dishes: the calzone was huge and packed with flavour, the risotto was excellent, the chicken was juicy and moist, and the meatballs were tasty and perfectly juicy too. Great atmosphere, great food, and we’ll definitely be back

Firstly it took about 15 minutes for drinks which we had to go up and ask someone for . We ordered meatballs and garlic bread which we expected them to come in a bowl full of meatballs however it was to meatballs on toast . Two meatballs ! Nonetheless that was good . The garlic bread was nice and fresh . Couldn’t fault any of that . However the Lasagne was on another level it was full on cheese, hardly any meat or pasta . The dish was a little bit dirty also which I didn’t notice until I looked back at the photo.
Yes they were busy but service wasn’t the greatest . We said we didn’t like the Lasagna and no apologies were given .

First time visiting this evening and will definitely be back! We were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in the door. All staff so friendly and so attentive! One of the best Italian meals we have had. Great portion sizes and so tasty. Great to have somewhere to eat outside the city centre! Can’t wait to return!

Our table for 7 friends for a special occasion was booked for 7pm, we got there just before 7 and the table wasn’t ready, we waited for about 10 minutes and ordered drinks at the bar. Once seated we ordered a couple of bottles of wine and sat looking at the menu! After about 15-20 minutes our drinks were brought out and we placed our orders for food. 3 of us ordered starters which arrived at 8pm, the food wasn’t overly exciting but was ok for a starter!! At 9pm.. two hours after we had arrived there wasn’t any sign of a main meal! We had to ask where it was and was told it’ll be 7 minutes! 15 minutes later the meals arrived accept mine which was a calzone! Mine arrived another 9minutes later, after everyone has almost eaten theirs! My calzone was freezing cold! After waiting for extra time, I would have at least expected some sort of heat!! I called the waitress and she took it away! I told her I don’t want another one as I didn’t really want to eat my food on my own! The manager came over and asked if I wanted a fresh one to which I declined! No real apology on my part!
Because of the long delay, the other diners were offered free desert and wine which they had! There wasn’t really any customer service from my point! I ended up leaving hungry and getting a KFC on the way home, not what you expect when you’re out for a meal with friends!

Oh wow! What a little gem…. just visited here today for a quick lunch, absolutely delightful, family run, fresh food, cosy spacious dining and lovely staff, have rebooked for an evening meal… very excited to try! Also cater for my gluten free needs, excellent!
