First time at Kewpee
This place was packed on Dec 24th.
Folk standing around ordering 6 n 8 burgers n fries at a time.
The drive thru was, literally, wrapped around the corner!
I was in line about 4 minutes.
My order was taken with a smile n not rushed.
My wait was a bit longer with all those larger orders before me. Not to mention the drive thru.
I didn’t hear one grumpy customer comment! I didn’t see any of the staff unhappy nor slacking.
One order was accidentally pushed off the counter to the floor. The lady fixing the burgers didn’t flinch nor miss a beat. She quickly reorder those burgers n got them out quick!
I’m from the south where folk like to openly complain about anything n everything.
This TINY shop is sooo efficient in getting the correct order out in a timely manner. And not one order was said to be wrong!
All the while, I’m hearing Xmas greetings n salutations from staff and costumers.
This was an awesome experience!

Everything was great, food and staff. First time at this location. Down from Temperance MI just to visit and experience this place. Fascinated by the history.
Loved it the small retro building, amazing how well everything runs. Clean.
The parking lot was a challenge for me, it won’t be so bad next time.
Lima’s diagonal backing parking also was foreign to me, never seen this in sixty years.
I’ll most likely return in the summer when I can walk around more.

I visited kewpees for the first time this week. I got a burger fries and chili for food. This was one of the best diner burgers I have had. Cooked perfect and tasted amazing. The food came out quicker than any fast food ive had and tasted fresher than all of them. The chili was so good and perfect for a cold winter day. For the drive home I got a small malt and a pie for later. Both were excellent. The interior brings you back to the 60s and the prices do to. This place is 100% worth the stop.

My husband grew up in Lima, Ohio. Ever time we visit the first stop is Kewpee’s for a hamburger and fries. We visited on 8/29 the downtown location and a line was wrapped around the building. I had my first Kewpee hamburger and it was delicious!!

We’ve wanted to come to this historical restaurant for a couple of years. We were finally in the area and made it to Kewpee Hamburgers. It’s a wonderful old diner serving up great food! I had a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo along with fries and a chocolate malt. Yummy! It’s easy to see why cars were lined up on the street for their turn to order at the drive-thru.

This is the original location for Kewpee Hamburgers. It’s very small, best to find off site parking and order inside. There’s a drive-thru, but you only get 2 cars in line before it backs into the street. But the food is so worth it. Hamburgers are top notch. Fries are good, but a bit pricey for the small amount. Best value soda is the Double Large. Still have yet to try their malts, but one of these times I plan to. It’s really the only place to eat in Lima. All other fast food is worthless compared to Kewpee.

Got dinner here as we were staying a night on the next block. Never heard of this burger joint before. The dolls were kinda creepy haha but the food was very good! We ordered a cheeseburger and the fish sandwich plus fries and malts/frozen yogurt. Employees didn’t seem thrilled to be working, but we were there about an hour before closing and the ladies in front of us were complaining about something trivial. Would go again if we’re ever in the area!

French Fries and Burger were cold. First I took fries up and asked for hot ones, she gave me back ones that were just as cold. When I also discovered the burgers were cold we decided there was no point in asking for a warm one. This was our first time there. Was so excited and was so disappointed.

Excellent quality, service and atmosphere. I just love and appreciate the nostalgia of the vintage era. And the food quality is awesome! My mom had talked to me for years about having a Kewpee Burger and how great they are.
