Had a partner recommend this place for lunch and a sit down. It absolutely did not disappoint. Don’t be deceived by the exterior, the location, or the parking availability. The food is killer and service was excellent. I had Hay Girl Haaaayyy (ordered with the head toss and all) and the house chips. The partner said he’d also never had a bad meal. My boss also said the bison burger was very good.

Took a road trip to Burg’r Bar for the first time yesterday and the burger did not disappoint. The place has a fun vibe, reminded us of an old bar in the city. The only issue we had was on a service level. . . We sat at the bar and ordered the exact same thing (they had cocktails) as the couple sitting next to us that arrived 10 minutes later. Their food came out and they were almost done eating by the time we got ours, not sure what went wrong there. When our food arrived it was missing the onion rings and came out a few minutes later. As we’re eating another couple sat on our other side and when there food arrives we noticed their onion rings were at least twice the size of ours which were the size of a poker chip. We asked the server if their onion rings were a side order because ours came with the sandwich and they were so much smaller? Her response was “onion rings are onions” and walked away.

The Hey girl hey burger is just a plain burger with bacon and cheese, nothing special. The Bob Father’s Italian sub was so much better. The cheeseburger soup and onion rings were good also. Our service was spotty no refills.

When I’m in downtown Punta Gorda, this is a must-stop. The French fries are fantastic, I love their patty melt, and all of their burgers are excellent. The chicken tenders are great too. Awesome bartenders and a perfect place to stop in for a burger and a beer. Always hits the spot.

Hit the spot on Sunday. Sat at the bar with a buddy. The sliders were great along with the veggies. I had an additional burger patty and it was cooked correctly. We were in and out of there in a very timely manner. Came in hungry left satisfied!

Well, we decided to try out Burger Bar, since I have read about their new owners, new menu, new atmosphere, We love to patronize local
business. We got there a little after 1, no sitting outside available, so we sat inside.
Our hostess sat us at a table and there were a few open bar stools and one or two tables still open. Our waitress took our drink orders and we asked her to come back in about five minutes for our food order. I ordered an appetizer, 3 sliders and my husband ordered a chicken wrap. wrap w/ french fries. (not a difficult order). Well, we waited and waited and waited, she never came back to say, the kitchen is backed up or your order is on the way. I noticed two gentleman got seated after us and had their meal delivered BEFORE us. My husband even caught our waitress attention and she said she was checking on our order, never showed up. My husband then went to a lady who was delivering meals and asked for our waitress, nothing. After waiting at least 35-40
minutes, I left $7 on the table for my beer, we left. Ended up going 5 minutes down the road to McDonalds.

If you go ask for RACHEL! First time here and I WILL be back. Food is Great. Service was EXCEPTIONAL. Hostess Eh, we met Rachel on the way in. Friendly. So we asked for her. She did not solicit us. Hostess, “Our Policy you can’t request servers.”. I’ve never heard that and it could have been handled differently. I’m sorry but that has to CHANGE! If her section was full, I could understand, but otherwise I should be able to request who I want. I’ll try again and I will be asking for Rachel.

I really like this place because they have great gluten free buns and the food is really good – especially the house chips! I only have one complaint in the half dozen times I’ve been here and it occured when I placed my to-go order. I specifically ordered an “order” of house chips, not a “side”. What I received for $4.00 was half of a “side” – the box was literally only half full. I asked the girl if the call was for an order or a side, as I had my daughter place the call. She admitted it was an order, not a side, and assured me she could get me more…for $4.00 more. I’m going to go back in the future because I have otherwise had no bad experiences, but I was really disappointed this time since all I ordered for myself was the house chips.
