This is what I call a local dive restaurant with up scale food. Tucked away off of park road – across from Sting Ray Chevrolet. You can tell that this is a restaurant that the locals go too. Wide variety of food choices. I can’t wait to try other dishes. I had the pulled pork platter with two sides. Really good bake beans and great okra. Another dish we had was chicken and also chicken fettuccini-also great tasting. We had onion rings with their signature Boom Boom sauce. Parking size-able. Dirt parking adds to the ambiance. ✔️

We had an excellent experience dining at Smokin’ Aces for lunch. The place was busy and we could tell that this was a popular local BBQ joint. We were seated quickly upon arriving, but since it was packed inside, we were seated in the patio. Fans were blowing, so the temperature was still fine outside. Our drink orders were quickly taken and we were given time to review the menu. We ultimately decided on a BBQ chicken sandwich with fries, and a 3-meat BBQ platter. We tried the 4-wings, pulled pork and beef brisket. While it took a while for our food to arrive, it was worth the wait. It was a generous portion size, and the BBQ was delicious. We especially liked the honey BBQ sauce, as well as the crispy onion rings. The service itself was good overall. We definitely enjoyed our lunch, and will definitely be back again.

I heard many good things about this place in read many good things online so I was eager to check it out. I went there last night and tried the three meat platter. I chose brisket, sausage, and ribs. The waitress told me ribs and chicken wings were what everybody raves about at this place. I ordered coleslaw and fried okra as a side dish. My overall review of the food here is that it was just average at best. Nothing was bad, but nothing was spectacular as far as the meats go. However, the coleslaw was the worst coleslaw I’ve ever had. The server told me it was a sweet coleslaw because I asked is it more vinegar or more mayonnaise and she told me it was more mayonnaise and sweet. When I put that into my mouth, it was bland cabbage, and that’s it. I even had the person that was with me try it and they thought the same thing. I sent it back and asked for a different side dish so I got collard greens, which were OK. The fried okra was spectacular. The person with me had the brisket sandwich and macaroni and cheese, which was an OK side dish, but not worth a “premium side dish“ Therefore incurring an extra expense. I was so looking forward to coming here after what I had heard and read that I was very disappointed that it wasn’t better and as I said, just average at best. There’s other barbecue places that I would rather go to and spend my money at.

We tried Smoking Aces BBQ and overall had a great experience. I ordered the Royal Flush. It’s a very large plate, but everything on it was very good and well made. My wife had the Smoking Loaded Fries. She said they were good, though a bit too sweet for her taste. The seasoning salt on the fries was great, but she didn’t care much for the nacho-style cheese they used (not bad, just not her preference). My father-in-law got the People’s Choice (two meats) with green beans and grits, and he said everything tasted very good.
The staff was very nice and quick, and the inside has a cozy mom-and-pop feel while being well-kept and clean. I’d definitely come here again. Next time I’ll probably order a smaller plate since the portions are very generous.

Local barbecue with down home smoky flavor. Ordered the fried green tomatoes and the king’s platter with two sides, fried okra and collard greens. The wings were smoked, then fried and garlic parmesan added. They were smoky, tender, and absolutely delicious! Our waitress, Vanessa was spot on with her suggestions and service.

As soon as I walked in Smokin Aces I was cautiously optimistic that greatness awaited. To my delight, my great expectations were surpassed completely. The best ribs I’ve ever had in Florida…and I am always looking for the best ribs I can find. All of the BBQ is phenomenal including the sides. The fact that they put steakhouse in their name and steaks before BBQ in their tagline makes me feel like their streaks could be some of the best as well.

Delicious! The brisket is just right. The corn nuggets are amazing. The potato salad, mac & cheese, and onion rings are all great. Can’t say anything about the rest of the menu as those were all so good I just kept ordering the same stuff. They are busy and had a bit of a wait to get a table a couple of the times I was picking up an order, but that is not surprising given the great food and helpful staff.

First time ever eating at this restaurant. They always say it’s the side of the road hole in the wall restaurants have the best food and was driving by and happened to see it and it definitely did not disappoint. The pulled pork was awesome. Food was served hot and very tasty. Wait staff were nice and welcoming. Restaurant was clean and to look around at all the interesting history and pictures on the walls of Plant City and other artifacts made the restaurant have just the right feel and atmosphere that made this place special. Glad we found this place and will definitely be back the next time we pass through Plant City.
