Be forewarned:
It’s not very clear at all.
Perhaps better signage is in order.
But once you’ve pulled on a few bolted shut doors, you’ll eventually find your way inside.
That said…
The restaurant’s design may be viewed as a bit quirky to some.
But to others the quirkiness may actually be a part of its unique & fun appeal!
I’m guessing the restaurant has evolved over the years into this added-on, room-by-room, set-up.
With the multiple rooms, the restaurant offers different seating areas/activity options.
There’s a covered patio deck with outdoor seating area .
Off the outdoor patio deck, inside, are pool tables situated near a live entertainment area, with separate bar area & a liquor store,
all situated, basically, under one roof.
The menu offers a variety of grilled and casual fried food items.
There’s a BBQ menu, along with burgers and typical sports bar fare consisting of “wings & things” and enough Tampa vibe & flair to keep things flavorful & interesting.
Pressed Cuban sandwiches,
Fish and Shrimp Po Boy sandwiches, served with popular sides of fries, chips, cole slaw, baked beans & other add ons.
Keep a fresh outlook & an open mind;
leaving your diet and healthy eating habits far behind.
Try being a good sport
&
playing by the rules…
then a good time & good eats
may be had by all!
I came into this store ready to purchase four bottles of tequila, priced at $43 each (Rounding Up). However, another store nearby had the exact same bottles for $37 each (Rounding Up). I simply asked the cashier if they price matched, and the answer was an immediate no.
So you’d rather lose a $148 sale (before tax) instead of matching a competitor’s price? That’s the difference between a business that’s just getting by and one that’s actually trying to grow and keep customers.
Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere and purchased the items from the other store.
This place is overpriced, and the customer service left a lot to be desired. Just for comparison, Dewey’s Liquor is much more affordable than Gaspar’s, although I didn’t purchase my bottles from Dewey’s that particular day.
Overall, I’d rate this place 2 out of 10. And that’s only because the store itself was neat and clean, but when it comes to pricing and customer service, it was a major disappointment.
Needless to say, I won’t be shopping at Gaspar’s again.
Also had Russel’s Single Rickhouse($a lot but hella worth it!) and some Toasted Elijah Craig(~$15) pours.
Great staff. Great food. Awesome bottle shop next door.
10 out of 10 guys!
This is a must stop for bourbon lovers in the Tampa area.
I ate a burger while my wife had the quesadilla, both came out amazing I’d even place it in top 10 burgers I’ve ever had. I recommend going a level down from what you want in terms of how cooked the burger is. I wanted medium rare and it came out closer to medium well. So I’d recommend ordering rare in this case. I saw someone order an old fashioned which looked amazing, so that’s the first thing I plan to order next time. Definitely would recommend gaspars for anyone looking for a new experience.
If you prefer more of a calm quiet and family vibe come earlier in the day, for a more party and nightlife vibe go after 9pm. Thanks for the great experience Lisa.
