This is a great place with awesome food & service. It is pricey tho. We were celebrating my Aunts 79th birthday, so I called ahead and reserved a table for 7 ppl at 5:30PM. We all had dinner, then ordered dessert. Here is why the 2 star rating. At 8PM, the hostess Georgia approached our table. I thought she was going to ask how we enjoyed our meal as we were having a great time. Nope! She basically told us she had another party booked at our table at 7:30PM and they have been waiting at the bar and she needed us to leave as she needed the table. We were close to wrapping up; however, never ever have I had a restaurant approach the table and tell us we had to leave. Nor when I made the reservation was I told we only had 2 hrs to dine. Several members of my party asked if we only had 2 hrs and were taken back from this bold and unpolite execution. I have heard of table time restrictions on Valentine’s and NYE, but never on a basic Friday evening in late February. Just a very odd ending to a great evening at a higher end restaurant .

Unfortunately, this is what medium rare looks like at Clawson Steak House. Also served my baked potato unscored, not cut open at all, just a whole potato sitting on a plate. Just expected more for the price. Service is excellent, however, and great cocktails.

Clawson Steakhouse truly exceeded my expectations, and I felt compelled to share my fantastic experience. The prime rib was cooked to absolute perfection, boasting incredible flavor and tenderness in every bite. Their French onion soup was another highlight, with a rich broth and perfectly melted cheese. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience! Overall, it’s a wonderful place.

The lobster bisque was excellent. I had the Manhattan strip with scallops, very good. A friend had pepper soup and prime rib, both very good. And The other friend had french onion soup and strip with shrimp, yummy!

I never do reviews but I feel like i have to share my experience with all first timers there.
I have been going to the Clawson Steak House for god knows how long and has never disappointed me. It’s our favorite restaurant.
For first timers that read the reviews you should know that on Friday and Saturday nights the food is going to take over 1 hour and parking is a little problem you might have to park across the street because that place is busy.
This place is the kind of steakhouse that you go to have a good time and not in a rush. There is the band which those guys are fun and people dance, there is bread soup salad that comes with the food and then entree. If you don’t have at least 2 hours to spare to have a good time then don’t go there because its not a fast food.
What made me write a review today is that yesterday my family and I went there for dinner and the table next to us was being so rude to the server and the manager. Whitetrash young people. Complaining and screaming at the manager’s face that the restaurant ran out of Prime Rib on a saturday night at 8pm and then demanding free dinner like it was the staff’s fault? I wanted to say something to defend the staff but I was with my family and I could’t risk a fight.
This review is also for the owners to know that their servers and their manager are so patient and nice because if it was me getting screamed at my face it would not be pretty.
Make sure to try their Surf&Turf ! Their filet is so tender and they have the best lobsters!

The waitress was great and I loved that they gave soup and salad with the meal. But the steak was just meh, although I would give the place another try sometime, if the opportunity comes up.

My husband and I had great meals. The chicken carbonate was amazing my husband had a strip steak and he said it was one of the best steaks he’s ever had!
Unfortunately the service was spoiling our experience. Our waitress Kelly was less than pleasant it was like she didn’t realize she was in a position where she needed to be somewhat friendly. She would walk by our table several times in a row and never ask how we were when our food came out she was next to us and didn’t ask how the steak was or if we needed anything. It was like she was giving the cold shoulder. I watched her with other patrons thinking it was just us but I don’t think it was. I thought maybe she was just busy but I also saw her just standing around anyway that was a whole new experience, I’ve never been treated like that before in a restaraunt.
Otherwise food was great, ambience was super. I would go back I would try to avoid that girl though.

Was really looking forward to eating here. We ordered 3 of the ribeyes and I of the deep fried shrimp. Unfortunately all of our food came out cold. They did bring more baked potatoes but, those were still room temp at best. The steaks were supposed to come out on hot plates sizzling and they were barely hot. If we hadn’t spent close to $300 I would even be complaining but, for the money and hype I expected a lot more.

I go to The Clawson Steakhouse regularly and always have an amazing experience. The service is great and the food never disappoints! A must have is their lobster bisque. My favorite dish is the filet. They have an amazing dessert menu, as well. Sometimes even have a band playing which is a fun way to enjoy dinner!
