If Copenhagen and Brooklyn had a very delicious baby, it would be this place. I ordered the sesame schnitzel and Danish pancakes, and honestly… I’m still thinking about them. The schnitzel was perfectly crispy, nutty, and somehow both comforting and elevated at the same time. The pancakes? Soft, slightly sweet, and dangerously easy to finish. No regrets. Zero.
Everything was ultra delicious — the kind of meal that makes you pause mid-bite and nod to yourself like, “yeah, this is the one.”
Dany, my server, was amazing. Super friendly, genuinely attentive, and knew the menu like it was his life’s work. You can tell when someone actually cares about what they’re serving, and it makes the whole experience better.
Smør is officially on my “I’ll be back very soon” list. Come hungry. Leave happy.

From entry to exit, each morning I had a great meal. One day I took home lunch as well. The hostess is charming and helpful. I’m not in the demographic (2-3 generations older than the clientele) and I was still made to feel welcome. Yes, it is pricy, but the ingredients that go into the plates is excellent. I’ve never had soft-boiled eggs out. It was a pleasure to have a perfectly cooked jammy egg. I was visiting the area, and fully plan to return next visit. And I almost forgot, the drip coffee was exceptionally good. My first breakfast was the Danish pancake and it is better than I’ve made at home.

Smör in Clinton Hill is a lovely place I find myself happily returning to. The everything platter is always my choice, with a thoughtful mix of salty, sweet, creamy, vinegary, savory, and fresh flavors that feels comforting and complete. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant, making it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. I only wish the plates were a bit larger, so everything had a little more space.

This Brooklyn outpost is great, though as crowded as the East Village location. My husband and I had coffee and split a cardamom bun. We also had the chicken salad sandwich, the smør dog, and the pickled herring. Everything is tasty, and the prices are reasonable for NYC breakfast/brunch spots.

A must-visit on every trip, this was our first time at the Brooklyn location. I love that it has more indoor seating, we visited during the time when they had servers waiting on tables, which was great. Don’t skip the cardamom bun. The coffee is always fantastic. All the sandwiches are so good.

This is a lovely neighbourhood cafe which does coffee, tea and wines with baked goods and a superb breakfast menu.
The flavour of the brioche sandwiches is exquisite and the plated meals are generously portioned.
Staff are awesome too – really friendly and happy to chat about the menu and the area.

We have been trekking to the East Village location for years and are SO happy to have the combined bakery and restaurant come to our neighborhood!
It was day 3 of them opening and everything we had was delicious. Huge portions, great value, fantastic coffee and super friendly staff.

This is my friend’s one of the fav place to eat brunch! I am so glad we chose this to kick start the long weekend. The big breakfast is DELICIOUS! Highly recommend it, the quantity of everything in the dish was just right. The chicken sandwich was tasty too! Lovely and warm service. It’s always crowded and busy so reserve ahead.

Had a solo dinner at Smor this week and it was everything I could have wanted. I went with the sesame schnitzel and it was fried to perfection. The cucumber salad is unassuming but amazing. I also had to get the trout toast with salmon roe and it tastes as good as it looks. Washed it all down with a cold danish beer. Nothing better. Great chill vibes and friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back and try more stuff.

Food was great, and also at a great price. Not pictured, but very much enjoyed with the AEC. The smoked salmon smørrebørd was very tasty, but you get more with the chicken salad. Split the cardamom bun amongst us, which a great sweet treat. Inside was nice and bright, as you’d expect with a Scandinavian restaurant; definitely busy so I suggest making reservations.
