The food was hot fresh and beyond delicious. The shrimp and steak fajitas were top level.
As our economy is out of control and it is so expensive to eat out now days, we do it very rarely. When it’s an experience instead of just a meal we feel great about the treat.
Keep up the good work Abuelo’s!
, if not let it be a buffet. In today’s world were we have to be our on activists, I would never guess we have to add restaurants. If true, there goes the tip. Hey you “incharged” person, enforce the golden rule. LET’S ALL STAND FOR SEVICE FOR THE CUSTOMER. What a waste of an atmosphere and $87. Next customer, you been told.I’ll never go back.
My boyfriend and I went on Memorial Day 5/26/25. It was pretty empty but a few of the places that were open. I had been telling my boyfriend that I wanted to eat at a place with some chips and salsa. Something typical we get in most restaurants in EP. But ok, here in Midland obviously I haven’t had a restaurant with any good Mexican food yet. I gave this place a chance. Even though I was starving I was not craving anything from their menu I opted to play it safe and get the Trio Fajitas. While waiting, I was trying out their salsas. The chips were good, but the salsas wow not even a hint of spice or flavor the only decent one was one of the four they brought us. The tomatillo salsa literally tasted like they added sugar, it was so sweet to me. The other was just plain tomato sauce. When my food arrived I asked the server if he could please bring me more of the only salsa I had liked and he said he would bring me that one plus an habanero salsa that was spicy. Well none were spicy to me but a little better than the other ones. The FOOD. Okay, let’s talk about the food. $30 for a fajita skillet I expected something good. Well, first off my food smelled like sweet or bbq. I was like uhh?? It didn’t even smell like they had cooked it with some spices or anything. The fajitas were so bland 2/10. The chicken was ok 4/10 and the shrimp had bbq sauce on top , like what??? 1/10. I proceed to make myself a taco, then realize they only gave me 3 tortillas!! Oh lord I wasn’t having it but whatever it was just to try it out. The rice was fine 5/10. The beans surprisingly weren’t sweet nor did they add bbq sauce I give those a 7/10. Food experience I give this place 2/10.
Service: I must say our server was very sweet and attentive. He keeps refilling our tea’s, and was checking up on us. So he’s service is a 10/10.
Hostess: eh they were whatever, nothing good or bad to say about them.
Atmosphere: I liked the place, it has potential and it is clean. I liked the hacienda vibes. The few people there seemed to be having a good time. I just wish the food was actually good and authentic it’s not even Tex Mex, just plain, not seasoned Mexican food.
It’s just my personal opinion, from what I see other people seem to like it and that’s fine
