The drinks were excellent. I didn’t drink because I’m not a heathen but the people I was with enjoyed it.
When we got the pizza i noticed it wasn’t particularly deep dish. The pizza was more bread than deep. Maybe we didn’t read it right, or we went in having an expectation in our minds of what deep dish means. If it’s more crust than cheese, then… it’s more like French bread with some pizza toppings. And also we found some mushrooms at the end one pizza. Like a little bit.
Plus the boneless wings didn’t really have a pickle zing.
Everything else was good. Server was good.
Had a mostly solid experience at BJ’s Brewhouse, with a few highlights and some room for improvement.

Appetizer Sampler:
Chicken wings were a good size and had the perfect crisp.
Sliders had a surprisingly great flavor—just could’ve used a little cheese or condiments.
Spinach dip came out extremely hot—burnt my lip, so be careful. Once it cooled down, the flavor was really good.
Entrees:
Parmesan-Crusted Chicken came with a lemon sauce that tasted really sour and didn’t pair well with the chicken. So I’d ordering ask for sauce in the side the mashed potatoes were a bit sour as well not sure if some sauce got mixed in.
Jambalaya tasted more like a Chinese stir-fry than a traditional Cajun dish you can see they juat threw some cajun seasoning on it—unexpected, but still decent just visually and taste threw me off.
Great White Deep Dish Pizza was the standout! It had a crispy parmesan-crusted cheese layer on top that added great texture and flavor—definitely worth ordering again. The chicken on the pizza taste like it comes pre-packaged and frozen not legit chicken breast. Just thought I’d add that it was still the 2nd best behind the wings.
Desert:
Peacon salted caramel pizookie was good but they added alot of caramel they could of eased back a tad.
Drinks:
Tried the Pint Red Amber beer, but it was served flat and warm—pretty disappointing.
Overall, the appetizers and pizza were great. Some dishes and the beer missed the mark, but I’d come back for the pizza and wings for sure.
I am going to go back and sample some different pizza selections.
Edit: came for a 2nd time and it was just as good! Brought a friend with this time and she was hooked when she tried the Pazookies! Now she wants to come here every time we visit the area! Which I am down to do!
The host was excellent. He was super kind and professional both over the phone and in person. We arrived around 8:20 PM and were seated right at 8:30 PM, exactly as promised.
Unfortunately, our server (Taylor J) seemed to be in a bad mood or just not very attentive. It took about 10 minutes before she came to our table, and she didn’t introduce herself. The first thing she said was, “Are we getting food or just pizzookies?” and at that point, we still didn’t have any water. She took our dessert orders, then brought waters afterward.
Most of the pizzookies were actually dropped off by the manager and food runners. We barely saw our server again until she brought the check, collected payment, and left. We didn’t get any napkins nor water refills. There was no communication about the automatic 18% gratuity or that separate checks weren’t available. She dropped the check off and quickly walked away even though my friend tried to ask her a question. My friend was able to get ahold of her. When one of my friends tried to ask about splitting the check, Taylor just said “no, sorry”.
We completely understand that separate checks for a large party can be difficult, but the lack of communication and courtesy made the experience frustrating. A simple heads-up and a little friendliness would’ve gone a long way.
The hostess and other staff did great, but unfortunately, our interaction with our server left a negative impression. I take pride in being a good tipper…always tipping 40% but genuinely she did not deserve a single extra dollar than the 18%. I know she saw us as a group of younger people and made an assumption that we wouldn’t tip so she didn’t pour into us knowing she is going to get the 18% regardless of how she was. Yet, that was not the case at all. Most of us planned to tip more than the 18% included gratuity but she didn’t deserve of bit of it.
