We went here for Valentine’s Day and had a really good time. The reason I gave them three stars was our friend ordered a steak well done and it came out (at best) medium rare. For the price ($56 without sides!), I would think they would at least get the steak right. My steak was delicious, I did order mine medium rare, though. The fries are really yummy, mashed potatoes were OK. The crab dip was extremely small for the price, but it was good. Overall, everything was pretty good but overpriced in my opinion. There were also like 10 hostesses sanding at the hostess stand, which was very strange to me. ..

Went with a group of ten including kids. Service was awesome and we were getting our drink orders pretty quick even though the place was packed. Kudos to the bartending staff. I ordered the open faced hot turkey sandwich, while it was tasty, it definitely lacked gravy. I asked our server for extra. I also ordered the tres leches cake, if you’ve had authentic tres leches cake, you’ll be disappointed. Overall, food was good, atmosphere was chill, and the service was great.

We came to Michael’s and always stay at their outdoor patio for the amazing homey decor they have, and the less invasive music compared to the bar and restaurant area, and sit by or closer to the gas fire place. Love it !!!!!
Tonight was a rock fish Nicholas special night, what a delicacy ! Paired it with the Terre di Bo Barolo from Italy, and although it was a red, it was a perfect match ! Thank you Gary for making sure we are feeling comfortable and taken care of tonight.

Came on a busy Saturday morning, and got seated immediately! Crazy since they were so busy from all the baby showers.
First time here, and was very surprised how elegant and elevated the decor was for a cafe.
Our server was Sidney, who was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Excellent communication through the whole service! Always stopped by to see how the food was and made sure our drinks were filled to the brim.
The general manager, Angie, stopped by and recommended that we get the famous crab dip and the cereal French toast for starters. And man was she right, we loved every bite!
Overall the service and food were great, so hands down will be back soon.

Seeing as though I typically love Michael’s Cafe, writing this review is disappointing. My partner and I made a reservation for Valentine’s Day. I had been previously gloating about how much I love the restaurant. When we walked in, we were greeted by a slightly irritated hostess to which we understood because of the hectic holiday. We were then sat at a table that was very off to the side next to a door that was continuously being opened, letting in cold air and even blowing out our candle. We sat patiently waiting for someone to notice us and after about 18 minutes of waiting, we were then greeted by our waiter. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name but the first impression was not a great one. Once again, we gave the benefit of the doubt because of the holiday. Our waiter’s attitude was not impressionable at all. We asked certain questions about the dishes and could not get actual answers, just short uninterested responses. Once we placed our order, we then waited 14 minutes for our drinks to come out but then waited an additional hour for our food to come out. Our reservation was at 8:45 and we did not leave until 10:57 or so. We ordered our food at about 9:15 and got our food at 10:20. Both tables next to us placed their orders within the same time as us, one table even getting the same dish as we did. By the time we received our food, both tables next to us were leaving. One even being able to get dessert. Another thing that really bothered us was that our waiter did not check on us at all until about 13 minutes before our food came out. No water refills, no asking can he get us anything in the meantime…nothing. Checking on all tables BUT us. Avoiding eye contact with us as well. Granted the food slightly made up for it and was not really hot at all, just lukewarm. Our drinks were pretty much watered down by the time we received our food. We also wish we were able to enjoy the beautiful ambiance that this restaurant encapsulates but unfortunately were not able to. I hope other customers do not have to go through this experience as well.

OMG!!! The smoked gouda creamed spinach and truffle mac & cheese was SOOOOO GOOOD!! This is my second time here and the first time I think I only had the bar food as we were outside. This time we dined in for lunch and I got to experience the full menu. I ordered a burger which was good also but I couldn’t get over how good the sides of spinach & mac were for just $6. In this 2025 economy those prices were perfect I will definitely be back. They were in the middle of some minor esthetic repairs out back but it did not interfere with the service. Our waitress was cute, personable and well versed in the daily specials. I will definitely be back to try mire items from the full menu.

I loved the heated area where our group was seated—it made the experience especially comfortable. The food was enjoyable; a few items felt slightly overpriced, but there’s a wide range of options to choose from. Service was attentive and pleasant. It’s a great spot for groups, though if you’re dining alone, the entertainment options may feel a bit limited.

Food was okay. I wait almost 45 minutes and it came out warm. I asked for eggs over easy and they came out over medium. They stated a 7 oz filet mignon? But it’s more like 4 oz. It was good though. My server Nick was awesome! I may come back and order the classic burger which looked really delicious.

I have dined at Michael’ Cafe many times and have enjoyed their food. Today however, was the first time for the California Turkey Burger. I think this will go down as the best Turkey Burger I’ve had outside of my homemade receipe. It was well prepared and the fixings were a very tasty combo for this Burger.
I will definitely recommend it and the sweet potato fries with my BBQ sauce condiment was a good side edition.

I’ve been eating at Michael’s in Timonium for six years, and have had consistently amazing food and service. Top three dishes here are short rib, lobster roll, and crab cake. Tonight, Roy was my server and he was attentive and friendly. Perfect buttery poached lobster roll, as always!
