From the moment we walked in this experience was on the rocks. We walked in and all of the tables were full, except one which just had a couple leave. The employee behind the bar said he would clean the table for us. We replied that would be great. Then he proceeded to stand behind the bar wrapping silverware for 3-4 minutes before actually cleaning the table.
Once we were seated we ordered food, and then the experience took another downturn in the form of waiting. Timestamps on my photos tell the story. I took the photo of the sign at 7:02pm, the photo of the cheese bread appetizer at 7:46pm, and the photo of our entrees at 7:53 am. We waited ~45 minutes for our food. A family walked out without food a little while after we ordered complaining that a 40 minute wait is ridiculous. Had we known the wait would be so long we wouldn’t have stayed.
The service was also very sad. One person even commented on our waiter that “he acts like he has given up on this day.” Refills took a while, if they happened at all (I got a refill, my wife did not). We ordered a side of marinara for the cheese bread, which did eventually get delivered…after our mains, so approximately 10 minutes later.
Finally, the food. It was passable, but that’s about it. The burger tasted like it had been frozen for quite some time. My wife ordered the truffle fries, which appeared to be fries sprinkled with salt and covered in pickled garlic. The tater tots were good though.
This is not an establishment I would recommend to anyone.

Star ⭐️ this one on your places to eat, pit stop road trip map! I’m giving this a 5 Star because it deserves the credit! Besides the waiter who was clearly a young teenager still learning, he did his best. The other reviews you see with a few complainers, don’t seem to appreciate the overall experience!

We came across this amazing
little Diner on our way back from Seaside Oregon. This place has history to it, so be sure to check out how they got started since 1872!

We are always searching for new family diners in Washington and we found another reason to come back! There was no wait coming in, and parking was not an issue. We arrived on a Saturday around 3pm.

It’s much smaller than a typical restaurant so be aware of your timing when stopping by.
They have comfortable seating in a booth like setting with a logger & farmhouse vibe.

Be ready to eat upon arrival, the food is enough to put you into a slight foodtosis!
We will definitely be coming back!

I’m not a regular, but I come here a few times a year. Today was breakfast, and I got the Corned Beef Hash. Points for not being canned corned beef…it was grilled shredded deli slice meat. Lots of peppers and good potatoes. Points for the slice of Cara Cara orange. Big portion. Service here is hit or miss, and it was a hit today!

Had a craving for a Hot Roast Beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy
Wasn’t on the menu (I guess they run it a a daily special sometimes) Chef cooked it for me anyway…it was absolutely delicious!
And their pies…well I was to full to try any but there must have been at least 6 people that came in for just pies to go…gotta believe they are bomb!
If you’re traveling HWY 30 to the coast, carve out some time to stop.

It was ok. I was hoping for better.
We arrived at 9 AM and there was absolutely no one in the restaurant. Probably should have picked somewhere else at that point.
The cheese on our breakfast wasn’t even melted. There was also a very obvious hair sitting on top of one of our plates.
I would not come back.
The signs above the restrooms were funny, they said Lumber Jacks and Lumber Jills.

I’ve been eating there for 35 years and they changed their beef in their hamburgers and it’s not very good. I had four people at the table that have all had their hamburgers and none of them liked them. I’ve been there twice since, but I have not ordered a hamburger so I would change how you’re doing it. You used to have homestyle hamburgers. Now there’s round and tough and gritty.

Stopped by the Logger on the way out of Astoria and was not disappointed. Awesome atmosphere, the milkshakes were great, and the food was even better. I’d recommend popping in to refuel if you’re on your way to Portland or yonder

This place is amazing! We were passing through the area and took a risk because we were hungry. Food and prices are excellent. The staff was very friendly! I wish I lived closer by so I could eat here again! Delicious!!!

The food was good, the service was terrible. There was one person at the counter and no other occupied tables. It was not at all busy but took forever to order, three catsup bottles were empty, no water or coffee refills. Once our food was delivered we never saw the wait staff again for another 45 minutes.Would not recommend.
