Fun place! I actually couldn’t decide on just one entrée. They have a great selection along with amazing sides. I ordered the onion rings which were HUGE and delicious! The bologna burger was also just as HUGE and came with all the fixings. Pro-tip: add the aïoli sauce and you’re good to go for the burger and rings!! Parking was easy and was seating quickly. Drinks were MUCH better than a lot of the other “chain” joints (rhymes with SnappleCees) around the area. Looking forward to another meal very soon!!! A must-go place for everything all good!!!

When we saw the high customer ratings for Red Oak Pub, read the reviews and saw what the had on the menu, we set it on the Map and headed over. It was the perfect place to come for outstanding cuisine after a exhausting day.
We can recommend the Reuben, Kettle Chips made on-site, fish and french fries which are both beer-battered. The music selection was fantastic and at the perfect volume. Jessica was fantastic, and rose far above what you would expect to see from a server specialist.
They have great additional decorative lighting distributed around, in addition to the standard lighting, as well as unique decorations. It’s a really fun yet relaxing and inviting and calming atmosphere. We plan on returning, and Highly Recommend this very cool place!

This is one of my favorite places to eat! I dream about the Holy Goat Burger (don’t be afraid of the peanut butter burger- it’s amazing too!)! Everything my husband and I have had here is so good. The atmosphere is cozy. The servers are friendly. If I had one they could work on? The hostesses could be friendlier. They’re just kind of blah. I’ve been to their other restaurant, Elliot’s; their Pizza is really good, but I always come back to Red Oak Pub. Awesome job!

Staff is friendly and bar has a cool vibe but food was slow (went on a Tuesday afternoon and took 20 minutes for a salad and a burger) and portions are so off. Ordered the salmon Cesar salad and it was barely a 3 ounce portion, it was overcooked, and salad was over dressed I felt like I was drinking it. Also ordered the burger medium rare and they sent it out cooked like a hockey puck.

My husband and I love to eat here when we are in Newark and often meet other family members here for dinner. From the moment you walk in you are pleasantly greeted and sat down. The wait staff has was relatively quick and friendly. The food is always delicious! We especially love the hamburgers and the sweet potato fries are so good! The salads are very good and fresh. The food is always delicious and worth the trip.

Excellent service, very quick and positive. Restrooms are clean and the atmosphere is great. Truly enjoyed our first time here. So many options we know we have to come back. The pot stickers were phenomenal as was the bologna sandwich. Certainly have two new regulars. Thank you!
Just came today again and had Ashley as a server and as our last visit was top notch service and excellent food. Highly recommend this place for great atmosphere and good food.

As a regular of red oak, I hate to post this. After the experience tonight, Red Oak is off our restaurant rotation. I understand some places can have off nights, but the symphony of shortcomings experienced tonight made me realize I’m spending way too much for what you get.
I’ll spare Google reviews the details, but I can 100% tell you this restaurant is actively cutting ingredient quality. If management would like to chat about what was on my plate tonight or the service I received , I eagerly await that conversation.
