Been to Manuel’s Restaurant before about 3 or 4 times. Decided to go back again about two weeks ago since we were in the area.
This is your average Mexican restaurant when it comes to food. Nothing I’ve had in the past stood out as excellent. The flavor is good, so is the quality. Friendly staff and nice setting all make up for a restaurant that despite being average makes you go back. The prices are fair also.
Two plates. One was a Steak Ranchero plate which consisted of strips of beef sauteed with bell pepper, tomatoes, cilantro and green onion, onions and salsa. It also came with rice and beans.
The meat was good, not hard. It was cooked right but just a bit salty for my taste. I believe it could have used less salt. The rice and beans were good also. Nothing outstanding, just good.
The other plate was a shrimp enchilada. It was stuffed with sauteed shrimp, onions, tomatoes, and green chilies. It was also served with rice and beans. The enchilada was ok. We’ve had better honestly. The rice and beans were good also. That’s as much as I can honestly say about it.
Again, this place is your average Mexican fare. Nothing more. What has kept us going back was a combination of food, atmosphere, service and fair prices. That is why I think this place has repeat customers.

Manuel’s is amazing. I can’t say enough good things about them. The service, Celeste was our server and she was great. The food came out fast and fresh. Extremely vegan friendly. The atmosphere is great- lots of color and images. La Virgen de Guadalupe is on display at the entry. The food had a wonderful flavors that were unique to each dish. My husband had the Mexican plate and I had the Rellenos. He loved everything he tasted and I loved my green chille. Our Mom was from New Mexico, so I am picky about the texture and flavor. There was a smoothness to my rellenos but none of the flavor or texture was lacking. There was a layer of browned cheese over the top that complemented the sauce it was served with. Hats off to the rice, I think Sonoran style? Great dinning. Service was professional and so friendly too.

This is a really good Mexican food restaurant, we found it by accident, and glad we did. The food is absolutely delicious, the salsa and chips were a nice added touch to our meal. We had the Chimichangas, beef and chicken, I recommend them btw, and the nachos. The chicken had a great flavor. You need to check out this place, you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered one single entree lunch today, the menu says served with beans and rice. So where’s the rice?? Small portion of beans as well, most enchilada plates else where come with a side of lettuce and tomato. Honestly so disappointing for 11.99, that’s what you can expect lately from restaurants here in Green Valley. Taco Bell would be better at this point.

Haven’t been there in about 2 years, but tonight was like we never left. The atmosphere is very nice with the wall decor easy on the eyes and not too loud. The menu has definitely changed (looks like 2-3 pages were removed) but tastes great all the same. Prices are very reasonable for the amount you receive; had the Cadillac margarita tonight and there’s a reason you are limited to 2 per person. Although I miss the queso fundido, it’s a go-to for mexican in Green Valley.
