La Fishería Seafood is an absolute gem in Panama. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and authentically coastal. We had a nice lunch here though found it a little pricey: $80+ for 2 appetizers, a side of plain fries, water and 2 NA beers. The ceviche was fresh and well flavored. The tuna tartar was also fresh and very tasty. Eduardo was a fantastic server and we enjoyed talking to him. They also have very good sorbet that we had a different time.

This place is a gem! We had the fried ceviche, salmon bruschetta, and garlic shrimp and it was so delicious! Our server Eduardo was so nice and friendly. Our food was so good that I forgot to take pictures until we had eaten most of it. We highly recommend this place. Very personable and friendly!

This was our first time visiting Panama City, and my partner and I were really looking forward to trying a good seafood restaurant. Based on the photos, website, and description, it appeared to be a fish restaurant with an Italian flair, which raised our expectations.
Unfortunately, our experience did not meet those expectations.
We ordered three dishes. The tuna tartare did not seem fresh and lacked proper seasoning. We had to ask for lime, salt, olive oil, and hot sauce to improve the flavor.
The fritto misto was also disappointing. The shrimp were very tough, poorly seasoned, and did not taste fresh.
Our final dish, a fried fish, was overcooked and felt carelessly prepared.
Considering that the prices are comparable to those in Switzerland — which is quite high for Panama — we expected a much higher level of quality. Sadly, this was our first and last visit.

I didn’t have much expectations and this is what prompted me to do this review. Everything was super fresh and delicious. And a special shoutout to Eduardo, who took such great care of me. He was attentive, friendly and made me feel welcome. The inside of the restaurant is also super cute. Highly recommand.

The ceviche was good but a little dry, and it included a few plantain chips. The high price point felt unjustified for what was served. The atmosphere was just okay and felt a bit basic, especially considering the premium pricing. I went during the day and they were playing music loudly for no reason. Service was just okay. I was one of only two customers in the restaurant, and I had to call staff over whenever I needed something.

We noticed something stringy in the fish and asked if it was a worm. We were not rude at all, we simply were cautious and asked a question. The waiter thankfully explained that it was a vein. However, before the conversation could finish, the manager intervened with an attitude, removed the vein, and took the dish from the table without asking. We explained that we did not want a replacement, and the fish was brought back out. Once we finished and asked for the bill, the manager returned with the same attitude and added a tip without asking. We were planning on tipping but didn’t appreciate it being added without our consent. We paid a total of $155 for 3 people. The octopus carpaccio was very good but the sea bass was dry. Overall, our server was nice but the treatment from the manager ruined the experience.

Came here for ice cream and it was ok. But the service was really not good. I was put on hold when I wanted to inquire and also they didn’t give us discount for multiple balls of ice cream. Do not come here just for ice cream.

We enjoyed the grilled catch of the day and grilled prawns. Service was great. They were able to accommodate gluten free.
