Bruchetta was really good. This is the first pizza where someone put slices of bacon vs diced. Very disappointed and very underwhelming. We asked for well done and this was not. Really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere is fun and our server was great. Not sure if this is their creative take or pure laziness from the kitchen staff. Sadly, we won’t be back.

I’ve been going to Nick’s Pizza in Crystal Lake for over 30 years, and I can say without hesitation that it is, by far, the best pizza around. The quality has been consistently outstanding for decades. The crust has the perfect balance of crispy and chewy; the sauce is flavorful without overpowering the toppings, and the ingredients are always fresh. Whether dining in or carrying out, the food has remained dependable and genuinely exceptional.
What truly sets this place apart, however, is the staff. The team is absolutely incredible. They are welcoming, attentive, and clearly take pride in what they do. There is a strong sense of consistency and professionalism that keeps longtime customers like me coming back year after year.
General Manager Monica deserves specific recognition. She is amazing at what she does. She runs a tight, efficient operation while maintaining a warm and positive atmosphere. It is evident that she cares about both the customers and her team, and that leadership shows in the overall experience.
That said, I do feel compelled to share one concern. On more than one occasion, I have witnessed ownership lose composure and be unnecessarily harsh to the staff. From a customer perspective, it is uncomfortable to observe and seems counterproductive, especially given how strong and capable the current team is. In my view, the staff and management on the ground floor deserve full trust and appreciation for the excellent job they consistently deliver.
Overall, Nick’s Pizza remains a Crystal Lake staple and my go-to pizza spot after three decades. The food is outstanding, the team is exceptional, and with continued support from the people who make it great, it will remain the best pizza around for years to come.

I came in to get a pizza and so appetizers and a few cokes and let me tell you wow was i amazed even my date was Very satisfied and thats hard. Are waitress Lola was on Point she had the appetizers on the table perfectly timed so by time pizza came we where finished with the appetizers and was on top of are drinks. I would recommend everyone to come to nicks simply how professional lola was. Great environment and finally waitress on top of there work. Lola thank you for your excellent service. Gotta love nicks..

This is by far my husband’s place to go for food, atmosphere, etc. Having been from Chicago, there is nothing on the Southside even remotely close to Nick’s and their delicious food.
I love the pizza, fish and chips, onion rings and even the side garden salad:

We both absolutely love the raspberry lemonade. We have no idea how you make it, but it’s the best we’ve ever had.

My friend and I ordered the Fish & Chips house specialty. We both thought the food was delicious. I feel it was THE Best fish dinner I’ve eaten in years! The beer batter and malt vinegar made the fish a true delicacy.
I would also like to compliment the woman who served us. She was cordial, friendly and on top of things. Our food was hot and arrived in a timely manner. The portions were more than generous.

Wow is all I gotta say. We wanted to go to Applebee’s as we went to Lake Geneva to do a gig, but saw this place and we said screw it. This place looks phenomenal from the outside. Huge barn/cabin vibe. The inside was even nicer! Huge digs, very nicely decorated with antlers, animal skins, etc. The place was HUGE! AND THAT’S NOT EVEN THE BEST PART! We got sat right away and ordered. We had the blooming onion as an app with ranch and it was perfect. Great seasoning and addictive ranch. Then the main course came, the large double decker pizza with sausage. Perfect. Cheese was plentiful and ooey gooey and everything you look for in good cheese. Crust was crispy and sauce was not overloaded with ingredients, just a good rustic tomato sauce that perfectly complements everything else. It tasted like home run inn, which is a huge compliment! Our server, Julian, was truly best part. We had a good deep conversation about music, gifts, and blessings. He was super awesome and attentive! Absolutely amazing experience, and the bathrooms were huge. They have great deals like 1/2 lb burger and fries for 8 bucks on Tuesday and 3 dollar pints on Wednesday.This is how to run a place. Going here whenever I’m in town!

They were able to accommodate our large group and made ordering easy. We meet up after our children volleyball tournament. They took our order using our child’s jersey number. This made things so easy. You can tell They have experience navigating large groups. The food was good and service was great.
