Had dinner reservations at 5pm and it was not busy yet. It took a long time to get a waiter to take our order after being seated.
I ordered the mussels in creamy garlic sauce which came with fries and aioli. They were plentiful and the sauce was excellent (albeit on the salty side). My husband had the reindeer shank which was fall off the bone tender. The vegetables and ligomberry jam went well with the dish.
For dessert, we went with the lemon tart and raspberry sorbet. The lemon filling was piped to order, so the shell was crisp. The raspberry lemon combo was a perfect balance.
Overall, we had a nice dinner here besides the slow service.

A female manager didn’t respond to us twice when we said Hi and Excuse Me very kindly. Meanwhile she talked with three European girls besides joyfully. Her overlooking for customers shows her impoliteness and unqualified behavior. This was the first I encountered such worse service and attitude!!! Even though she apologized for us, I won’t take meals in this restaurant and recommend to others anymore.

Overall a nice experience. Was a little difficult to get someone to actually seat us at a table, but once we tracked someone down and secured a table it seemed everything was good from that point. Excellent tasting food and perfect atmosphere right on the waters edge.

The bacalao was a bit too salty, but the reindeer was delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice.

We visited Bacalao in Svolvær and it was a delicious experience. As a starter, we tried a creamy seafood soup that was incredibly comforting. The mussels in jalapeño sauce were a surprise, with just the right amount of heat, accompanied by crispy fries. The lamb was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. To drink, the local apple juice was refreshing and authentic. The combination of good food, a cozy atmosphere, and spectacular views makes it well worth the trip. Highly recommended!

Food was really good here! Tried the bacalao and the shrimp sandwich — both were delicious. The restaurant also has a very nice seaview, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Definitely worth a stop!

I had a soup fish, which was tasty but I can’t say it worth 250 kroner.
Staff is nice and friendly.
Cutlery as you can see was not properly washed, almost all spoons was like that, it was difficult to find a clean one, but in the end I found
Considering the prices they have in this restaurant, I would not recommend and I would not come again here.

I came here for the 1st time a few days ago. I arrived at around 7:00p and didn’t need a reservation. The overall environment is very welcoming and comfortable. I ordered the fish and chips and my partner ordered the Korean chicken. The food arrived fairly quickly and was hot. The fish and chips were okay as well as the Korean chicken. It was very flavourful but also not the worst. I also ordered the Rhubarb Kombucha which was phenomenal. I probably wouldn’t return but the environment was great.

The best omelette I’ve had in Norway! With a delicious coffee and an amazing view, the experience was even better. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the service was great and attentive. Definitely worth a visit and I highly recommend it!
