Beautiful restaurant, from the moment I stepped in Ellie was so attentive. The place is gorgeous and don’t get me started on the food. I’ve been to many cuban restaurants and this one is one of the top ones no question. Delicious food and drinks. Will be back for sure!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Dining Experience!

If you’re looking for an unforgettable meal, West Bistro is the place to go! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Gabe was incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and made with clear attention to detail. I had Ropa vieja Empanada, as an appetizer and maduros the vaca frita was perfectly cooked and full of flavor the Cuban fried rice was outstanding . Don’t forget the drink menu we had the Cuban coconut You can tell the chefs truly care about quality and creativity.

Highly recommend for date nights, family dinners, or even a solo treat-yourself night. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My husband and I were looking for a place to hold a couples get-together and found this place online. Ellie, our server was courteous and pleasant. She showed us a place we could reserve in the pricing was very reasonable. We picked a variety of different dishes to try and all of them were delicious. The presentation was chefs kiss! The price point is affordable and there’s a little something on the menu for everyone. I recommend getting the appetizer sampler and the Dumbo burger was juicy and flavorful! Can’t wait to come back and have our couples dinner!

Food was so good, and plated beautifully. The appetizer sampler is top tier, but be careful because it’s really filling. I didn’t finish my entree because I got so full on the apps, lol. Great service. It’s BYOB and they have a lot of nice mocktails to mix with or just to drink by themselves.

Went to the new Bistro West and was pleasantly impressed. The food was great and their homemade sangria was insanely good! Staff was kind and accommodating. The atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends or a date night. They serve brunch on the weekends, they have hookah and is also BYOB!! They can accommodate parties or events of any size!! Bistro West is definitely going to be the next BEST SPOT to be at ALL YEAR ROUND!! Excited to go back to try their Brunch and see what more Bistro West has to offer!

Had an AMAZING time while there.

From the energetic music to the delicious food. There are no words to describe how great this place is.

I had the garlic shrimp with tostados, and bf had Cuban steak with fried rice.

For appetizer, we had the drt rub honey habanero chicken. I didn’t take the picture. We just dove right into it.

I did have the lychee rose mocktail. They didn’t have the lychee, so all they basically cave me was berry and rose water syrup. I’m ok with on the cou t that I can take it an opportunity to create something with it when I came home.

The waitress was well educated on the cooking of the food as well as very comforting to communicate with.

9/10

I would make it a ten, but its part club type restaurant. We came in while it was quiet, but have no idea what it might be when it gets busy.

Whichever style you want rather high energy or not, this is a great spot to just enjoy the moment while having great food!

I came to the West with my husband as it was recommended by a friend in the neighborhood. I’m new to Cuban cuisine, but I was really surprised! I’ve been to Rumba Cubana to try out.. but the West is what got me hooked to Cuban food!
The Food:
For appetizers, we tried their wings. Lemony, crispy on the outside, and juicy in the inside. It was cooked to perfection, generous portion. It was seasoned perfectly and fresh.
We tried both Ropa Vieja with yuca fries and Vaca Frita . My favorite was Vaca Frita, as well as the yuca fries.
We were too full for desserts, but we tried both red and white sangria, and I really enjoyed the Red one more.
The Vibe:
It’s new, casual, and I get it, its Westside Jersey City. I’d recommend dimming the lights (or use warmer bulbs), replace the artificial flowers with tea candles!
The Service:
It was a slower night when it had just opened. Our waiter was sweet, kind, and service was fast!
Verdict:
We’ll be back, we definitely needed a new cuisine in the neighborhood. I really appreciate the new flavor, and welcome to the neighborhood!

The best Cuban Food I’ve ever had. The monfoguitos appetizers were great the shrimp was my favorite. I got the chicken churrasco and my boyfriend got the steak churrasco med-rare his steak was so tender you could use a butter knife to cut it. Both main courses were season so well really delicious is all I could say when the courteous waiter checked in on us. But the best part of the whole meal was the Black beans THE BEST do not leave without tasting a side order of rice and beans. The mocktails were really good as well I got the mango mule and it was delicious it’s byob so I recommend bringing a few balitas (shot bottles) but still had great time good music. My toddler left happy with white rice and maduros

This place was a hidden gem. I had no idea this place even existed. I remember when this used to be a hookah lounge back in my college days, but I really enjoyed my night here. The only downside is that they don’t sell any alcohol it BYOB. But they do have hookah. !!! definitely plan on coming back

I came in on a Saturday night. The waiter/host was very attentive and personable. Service was top tier. With that being said, the restaurant itself has a lot of potential but missed the mark on decor and vibes. They have latin music videos playing on the TV but a different song will be playing on the speakers throughout the restaurant? Also the decor is mix between cuban, Spanish and italian bistro style?? The bar area where they mic your drinks for you also lack in direction and concept, overall the decor in the place just looks thrown together and cheap. The apps were pretty good, I would opt for ropa vieja empanadas — those were incredible. Also the tres leche cake was DEVINE. Other wise the food/entrees was just alright. The spot has a lot of potential, is affordable and its nice to have a BYOB/ hookah addition but unfortunately even the name is misleading.
