Loved, loved, loved this place!
Everything about El Grillo Marinero was excellent. The owners were wonderful, the service was great and the restaurant was spotless.
The food was awesome..fresh, flavorful and clearly made with care.
It has a great vibe and feels like a truly local, non-touristy spot, which made the experience even better. (It is truly local!)
We will absolutely be back and would 100% recommend this place to friends and family visiting the area.

Another year and multiple visits again. Amazing seafood. The Mahi Mahi is amazing, and they had tuna on one of our visits and it was amazing as well. Such a great environment and such a great team that runs it. Never had a bad meal here. Highly recommended. Flavourful food and wonderful environment.

Grillo Marinero is by far my favorite restaurant in Huatulco. The Mahi Mahi is absolutely unbelievable and cooked to perfection. The portions are huge and it feels like a real Mexican experience. The family that runs it are all so wonderful. 3rd year in a row going here and can’t wait to go back. Thank you Gabriel for the freshest, tastiest fish I’ve ever had!

We came because the fried fish was highly recommended, but unfortunately, by the time we arrived (7pm) they were sold out of all their smaller fish and only had large fish for MX$1200.
We ended up getting the garlic and butter shrimp which we really enjoyed.

We have been eating around town for twelve days and this was definitely one of the better restaurants, they know how to cook their seafood. I had the fish of the day (Amberjack), portion was huge and it was one of the tastiest meals of grilled fish I have ever eaten. Wife had garlic butter shrimp and she was also highly impressed. It was a Monday we were there early and when we left it was an hour wait so if you are dining after 6 maybe make a reservation.
