I had a salad that is usually spectacular- unfortunately the Cucumbers out of season where squishy and the lettuce was limp. Just not a good day for a salad at this place I guess. I really order the salad so I can have the brown bread that they served with it in the past, but that has been replaced with a pretzel stick which was delicious.
Atmosphere got a 4 just because the TVs are too loud but the service was great and it was a nice place to have lunch.

My boyfriend and I had a weird mix up with a bar tender on Valentine’s Day. The whole situation didn’t sit right with me so I called to discuss the situation. Stephen was the manager I spoke with and he has so much compassion and care for our situation. We came back in today and met with him and he treated us with kindness and respect. We had a couple of house special drinks which were amazing. Our service was awesome I forget our servers name but she was so sweet and accommodating. The food was delicious as well. After our mix up I wasn’t sure I’d ever come back but Stephen and his team really showed us who marbar is. This place is awesome and would definitely make my way back. Thank you again Stephen!! We appreciate the atmosphere you provided for us!!!

Wow this place was awesome. The food was great we were very full when we left. The jalapeno hopper poppers were too notch. Burgers were great was well. Our server was awesome kept checking on us during our time we were there. The owner or manager Evan came over and checked on us and apologized for a man that walked blowing smoke into the bar(no smoking). Old men will be old men

Had to visit this place since I had the same last name. Glad we did. Family had a burger, some wings and a wrap. All of it was very good. Waitress was awesome as well, kept our drinks full and we had a great time. They had a bingo night going, and we were definitely glad we found this place.

Our server, Kate, is what made our most recent trip to Mar Bar incredible! They had a busy evening with a poker tournament going on, and my food came out very cold twice. But Kate was attentive (while working the entire middle section of the restaurant like a PRO during this busy evening), and she apologized, comped my meal, and gave me a discount when I ordered something else to eat. She was genuine, patient, and kind during a busy night where she easily could have gotten by with less effort and attention to our specific table. We felt like the only ones in the restaurant because of her. Ownership/management – this gem deserves a raise! Thank you, Kate!!!

Stopped in after the Griz foot ball game. Inside was packed desided to wait for a table outside.. Glade we did a lot quieter and had a very good waiter. Ordered the fish and chips that were very good. Clam chowder soup was ok lots of clams and water for base! I prefer thicker. Daughter had burger , asked for poutine, waitress asked kitchen if they could make a dish but no luck, hence the four stars..Wife ordered the chicken salad. She loved it , lots of chicken. Should have got our waitress name but didn’t. Black hair and a beautiful smile. Nice evening for patio. Good service and pretty descent food. Will be back to try the burger. Hopefully poutine.

We had a pretty cool experience here. We went during the week during lunch and had seating right away, although there were a lot of people there, the seating was comfortable and not packed. The decor is great! Felt like I was in a hometown bar and grill with AMAZING food! The service was great! I suggest going here any time for some great food (we don’t drink so can’t vouch for the alcohol drinks but did witness the people at the bar with smiles on their faces… If that counts for anything )
