We had an absolutely perfect experience at Crave in the Mall of America! Our server, Tanner, was outstanding — incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and attentive throughout the entire meal. The service was top-notch from start to finish.
I ordered the Crave House Salad with candied walnuts and added chicken as my protein — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My wife had the Yellowtail Sashimi and Pink Panther sushi rolls, both of which were excellent and perfectly balanced.
For dessert, we shared the S’mores Brownie, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal — rich, warm, and deliciously gooey.
We also tried two mocktails: I had the Blueberry Mint Fizz and my wife had the Strawberry Spice. Both were refreshing, creative, and made with great attention to detail.
The atmosphere was relaxed yet elegant — a great place to unwind and enjoy a quality meal. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend Crave for anyone visiting the Mall of America!
House pickles are mild and crisp, bringing some snap to the party and cutting the richness of a VERY robust and juicy beef. Fear not the pink, its freshly ground.
The stir fry was not terribly remarkable, lacking a memorable flavor. But it was perfectly prepared and cooked; the vibrant colors drawing you in and keeping you coming back for more.
Food- 8/10.
The service was quick, kind, and accurate. What more can you ask for? 10’s in this arena are reserved for a novel experience.
Service 8/10
Atmosphere was loud and energetic, contrasting with an otherwise upscale motif, giving this place a bit of an identity crisis. Open windows that have mall patrons walking right by your table is an interesting choice. Not what I prefer, but not awful.
Atmosphere 6/10
We paid 80 dollars after tip for 2, with only one drink (pop) and no apps, putting it squarely in the expensive category.
Overall 7/10. This number feels low for our experience, but that is indeed the math. You should absolutely visit. Go for the burger if you enjoy them.
Some positives: friendly server, fast water refills, the sushi was pretty good!
Some negatives: this place lacks of sauces, salt and pepper, and parmesan cheese. The pasta lacks flavour, and the service time was brutally slow. My girlfriend’s dad had the 12oz steak and the asparagus it came with was undercooked and TOUGH. Quality/flavour of the food did not match the price.
Overall, this place has potential if it had better service time and flavour but for what it’s worth ($), I wouldn’t come back.
