At Cedars, our menu is a unique blend of Indian, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Cuisine. From Baba Ghannoj and Hummus to Shish Taouk and Shish Kababs, we offer the best of the Mediterranean and Middle East, and also all the different regional favorites of India, including vindaloo, korma, rogan josh, palak paneer, and a variety of curries! Our butter chicken is probably what we’re most famous for, and we guarantee you won’t find a better selection of naan anywhere in Seattle! Our chai tea is another point of Cedars’ pride—chai is the heart of every Indian restaurant, and has to be made to perfection each and every time. The chefs at Cedars simmer a secret blend of tea, spices and milk in each brew until the flavor, texture.

My sister’s favorite from years ago, she took me to have dinner when I arrived in Seattle. Reservations are a good idea, the place was packed! I ordered a tandoori variety plate to taste all of the proteins. The fish and ground beef were wonderful. The chicken was flavorful, if a bit dry. The lamb was too chewy for my liking but the flavor was spot on. The sauces were a highlight of the meal, as was the naan. Chef’s kiss. I don’t mind spending money on good food, but when the baklava arrived I was surprised it was so tiny for the price. Overall a great experience. The staff were attentive without being obnoxious. They definitely don’t want you to dally though, as we felt like they increased their check in on us after we settled the bill and were just catching up talking. I would go back again to give the lamb another go.

The here chai tea is the first one I have ever enjoyed. Solid 10/10 as well.

Finally visited after seeing so many great reviews about Cedars!
We got: Mediterranean Salad, Curry Specialties, Garlic Naan, Butter Masala, and Spinach & Paneer Naan! Everything so so delicious! And very filling! We were basically in awe of everything we ate, how well seasoned every dish was, and how we should’ve come sooner!
Everyone was super kind and helped us get situated into our table, and we definitely will come again!

Love the ambiance. Perfect spot for an intimate night out. Music is good. Not loud. Food is just what it needs to be
My bill said 10% off next visit. But they applied it to my bill this visit 🙂

Food quality is very poor. Price charged is very high compared to the portion size. They charge 26 bucks for the lamb boti just to serve very rubbery and chewy lamb. No flavors in any of the dishes. Not sure about the hype of this place.

My colleague and I heard good reviews about Cedars, so we had to try! We went on a Wednesday during lunch and the restaurant was very quiet. We were the only customers, so the waiter gave us free Chai! I had it for the first time, and my colleague who drinks it often said the Chai had a perfect cinnamon taste!
I ordered the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan! The naan was a generous size that it was enough for my dish and my colleague’s dish! I ordered it spicy, and they did not disappoint! The tikka masala did have an extra tomato taste to it, but it was still good!
Service was quick, and the atmosphere was present! There was some construction happening in the restaurant (ladder and ceiling tiles out), but it didn’t bother us as it was quiet.
I would definitely recommend this place for Indian Food on university ave!

Hands down the best Indian food in Seattle. We got a huge takeout order once too when we had family in town and it was damn good. Butter chicken, chana masala, saag paneer, everything we’ve had has been really good, even the lentil soup. When dining in we’ve always gotten top notch service. The waiter brought my kid a free mango lassi once when we came. Family owned and run. This is one of those gems you really hope doesn’t close or get kicked out of town to make room for lux student housing. We love you Cedars!

The food was delicious; it was my first time trying it, and the waiter helped me understand the dishes. The service was very good, and the atmosphere was pleasant (maybe it would be nice to have some background music to feel the vibe of the place even more). I highly recommend it and plan to come back more often.
