Tradewinds is hands-down the best breakfast restaurant we’ve ever been to. We live in Austin now, and we still talk about it.
The pancakes are everything I dream pancakes should be: fluffy, pillowy, and absolutely perfect. The omelets are hearty and generously filled, and the hash browns have that ideal balance of crispy on the outside and tender inside. Portions are generous, prices feel like a throwback, and yes I know this is a small thing, but I love a diner that gives you big cups of water .
It’s the definition of a perfect diner: simple, comforting, consistently excellent food done exactly right.

My husband and I like to go to this local restaurant for good food at reasonable prices. I enjoy the grilled cheese on Texas toast with tomato and bacon! Never had grilled cheese like that before but it is delicious! Highly recommend.

Really didnt want to do it, but have to. We went in today at 1135. Left at 120. Almost 2 hours. Zero wait on a monday for two. Blame was cook call out and short staffing. Restuarunt was half empty..
My hashbrowns tasted like there was some kind of chemical in them. Steak was cooked to a complete char hockey puck. After the third attempt I told our server we were leaving. Not her fault. Even service was very slow. We ended up getting up and just walking upfront to pay our bill. More than half the food and drinks were all removed which is appreciated, but wouldve appreciated to leave with a full stomach ecpecially for a 2 hour wait.
Dully noted to make sure to ask how the staffing is before we decide to dine next time. The two stars is me being genrous on the rating due to our server. Nothing more.

2/5 stars because of the food and I understand people have bad days. Ordered door dash online. Fiancé went in to grab it. DoorDash app stated it was done 7-8 mins ago. He was told it would be another 10 mins. I then went inside to the pickup counter. Was ignored. Had to ask “is this where customers pick up orders?” I was irritated and it probably came across in my tone and that is on me. Woman (blonde) was rude. I understand you are working and maybe tired…I just got off work I’m tired as well. Zero reason to treat/talk to a customer like that. When my order was ready I said thank you have a good day. Zero response so I ended up repeating have a good day at a higher volume. Idk if the lady was having a bad day but she didn’t have very welcoming energy. Maybe she needs to go through some more customer service training? I’m sure she’s a nice person hopefully was just having a busy or bad day. I will not be coming back to this restaurant because of this though.

My first time here was the night before and it was SO good I had to come back! Even brought my dog so he could eat some eggs and sausage. The food here is top notch in flavor. Everything so fresh and hot and they make sure all of your items are in the bag. Absolutely delicious, new favorite place to eat!

5 star for the food! Chicken teriyaki salad had everything I love! Great flavor!! Eskimo waffles and hot chocolate is amazing! 5 star for environment/decorations. 4 star only because the service isn’t consistent / too easy going. 4 star for cleanliness.

Went there for dinner and got the Cajun chicken mac-n-cheese. Found TWO hairs in the food. Chicken was dry and the noodles were not cooked. Not only was the food bad the waiter only took our food and gave us the food. Not got service! I do not recommend!
