Stopped by for lunch on our way back home to New York and the food was excellent. Emily was such a pleasure. Gave us great recommendations. Ribs were amazing and chicken avocado wrap was delicious. If we were living in the area we would definitely become regulars. Thank you, Emily ❤️

The worst service I’ve ever had at this place. We all know the old line from Die hard. What happened in the drive through? Well the same happens when you order ahead. The food was warm at best. We called just before we were to be there to let them know we had arrived. 30 minutes later the manager comes out and says that they had a catering group they were working on. She said our food had been done about 10 minutes. Not sure what time zone she was in , but I think our food was made two hours ago. She gave us 10.00 Off. If I would have seen the food and checked temperature before we left I would have told her to keep it. We will go to Indianapolis and get a steak quicker and better. Hopefully we will get a real steak house soon. The only reason the atmosphere got a better review was because I was in my car.

I had never been to Montana Mike’s and I doubt I’ll return. I ordered a ribeye and what I received was a gray piece of dry, unseasoned meat and was cooked way more than I asked. Luckily my daughter ordered chicken tenders and was willing to share a couple of them with me, as she didn’t particularly like them either. Her fries were good though.

The service was great . The food was adequate. It had some issues my Mountain burger was a double I always cut my burgers and eat with a fork . I ate the first burger on top and it was warm , moist and not over done . The second burger was cold and dry way over done . Not sure how this happens , I have a couple ideas .
My wife’s salad very small and not well put together . Her french onion soup she said was over heated in microwave probably .
Not the best lunch maybe just a bad day in kitchen.

I am rating this a 1 for the food but a 5 for the server.
1) The Campfire shrimp came out over cooked where is was tough and the presentation was as if hey threw it on the plate, left it under the heat and then brought it out. We ordered Cajun pasta that the pasta was under cooked and grainy and the teriyaki chicken and veggies that were WAY over cooked ( both ). The chicken taste like rubber and the veggies were mushy and bland. The rolls and butter had a hair on it. NOT mine as it was noticed as soon as it was placed on the table.
The server did take the chicken off the bill as that was the only thing we said something about, due to my husband forcing down the shrimp due to him starving. We ate it so we will pay for it BUT it was NOT appetizing.
2) The server was very prompt and brought out refills without us asking. He was very apologetic when i told him about my meal and removed it with no issue.
The table next to us turn around and said they had the same issues and will not be returning either. This is the only state house around so that saddens me. But this is pretty hard to come back from when we had the same issues over a year ago, gave them time to fix the issues and well they are the same.

Arrived at 755pm on a Friday 4-28-23 with a party of 4.
They were not packed but was busy, but we had about a 15 min. wait before we were seated. People were still coming in past 9pm to dine.
Once our server realized the hostess set someone in there area our server was quick to come by and take our drink order and appitizer and brought us bread with our drinks.
845pm and still haven’t received our appitizer or our dinner.
900pm we finally received our meal..but didn’t receive our appitizer.
Our server asked if we still wanted the app we were still looking forward to it so it was brought out at 920.
The pasta could have used a better presentation, but overall the food was good , service could be improved.

Server Zoe was excellent and it may seem petty but feel like management should have visited our table and at least apologize for the steak that I was served. I ordered the ancho T-bone, medium, but was served a well done piece of leather that even the steak knife that was with it could not cut into. They did remake another but I was bothered by the fact that the server came back and admitted that the cooks said they figured that my steak was going to come back because they knew it was a overcooked, terrible cut. SO WHY DID THEY SEND IT OUT?Meanwhile, everyone at my table finished their meal before I got the replacement steak which was awkward eating while they sat watching. $126.00 for a party of 3 with no visit from a manager, discount offered, or at the least a apology.

From walking in the door my family was greeted by wonderful people who greeted us so nicely and sat down in 10 minutes or less. The waitress was amazing she was so good at her job and so personable that this experience was made so much better by her wonderful personality and her kindness, the food came out warm came out fresh and delicious, it had been a few years since I had been to Montana Mike’s and I was so blown away by the awesome restaurant the atmosphere and all the wonderful food and staff, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a wonderful meal with wonderful service

Montana Mikes is 5⭐️ all the way. They have the BEST BBQ pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had, their BBQ sauce is tangy and sweet. The pretzel appetizer with beer cheese was excellent… not to mention the country fried steak and their red skin mashed potato’s were to die for as well! Service was great, just an all around amazing experience. I look forward to going back!
