Decided to try this spot out for the $14.99 ($19.16 with drink after taxes) lunch buffet.
I saw some bad reviews so was skeptical of course. Pretty steady crowd of people for a Wednesday. The food was that of a typical Chinese buffet. The workers were replenishing the hot items very rapidly. My only disappointment was the cooked blue crabs. The tasted as if the they were sitting for hours and not recently cooked. Server and staff was friendly. I would return.

TOY BABI
This was the best buffet we’ve visited in a long time on Highway 85 in Riverdale. The staff were all so friendly, courteous, and made sure or drinks were refilled and our used plates were removed promptly. All of the food was delicious and flavorful. The only downside was the Hibachi ingredients weren’t covered or looked like they were at a safe temperature on the cold table. Food was exposed to flies which was a turn off for me. But other than that, it was an awesome eating experience, and we’ll definitely eat here again!

I’ve heard both good and not so good things about this place. But both times that I went, it was exceptional. Granted, a lot of buffets dont have the best reviews, and it really comes down watching what comes out fresh. New City Buffet is clean and very well lit. There is a wide variety of food on the buffet and for the most part its all prepared in good fashion. I was pleased with my meal. Staff is very attentive and generally nice. If your looking for a good Chinese buffet on the Southside of Atlanta, I’d definitely give this place a visit

New City Buffet and overall I was really impressed. They have a nice variety of food, and everything I tried tasted fresh and well-prepared — not dried out or sitting too long like some buffets can be.
The hibachi station is a big highlight. It’s made to order, hot, and adds a lot of value to the experience. There’s also a good mix of different dishes so everyone can find something they like.
The only downside for me was the salad bar, which is honestly pretty lacking. You can basically make a Caesar salad at best, but there aren’t many fresh options beyond that.
Still, I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a buffet with fresh food and hibachi — just don’t come expecting a full salad bar setup.

Limited selection. The sushi didn’t taste fresh, and the prices seem to go up every time I check. Cajun seafoods are a plus.

The atmosphere here is always pleasant and the staff. The ladies are always coming to your table to make sure everything is ok for you. We enjoy the variety of different dishes that are being served. This way the kids go and get the things they really want to eat. Me….I’m more into the seafood area there with an excellent variety of items to choose from. Trust me when I tell you….enjoy the price as well. It’s always a pleasure to go sit down and enjoy your meal. With no dishes to wash. You would really enjoy going here and picking anything you want to eat. As well as sample some items. I’ve never had or tried baby squid fried. They were good. I even went back for more. You get a variety of items that I’m sure you would enjoy. The variety of people that frequently go here all says that they enjoyed going here as well as the variety of items to choose from. It’s always a pleasure to stop in and just grab a meal and relax. The atmosphere is always great

If I could give zero stars I would ! Food was so nasty my baby took 3 bites and threw up . The sea food smelled like the ocean, literally it didn’t . Save your money & the staff is rude and have the worst attitudes, owner & management included. Ruined my family trip .

Great buffet for a buffet! Chinese food is good (one of the very few places I will eat white rice, that’s a high compliment).
Their alcoholic DRINKS suck, BUT it’s nice to have as an option (vs not an option).
Both SEAFOOD and STEAK are on the buffet!
The seafood is good. The Cajun is good.
The sushi is far from bad.
The Hibachi Station is not the best, but it is there.
There’s a GOOD amount of options… Even to there being ice cream bars you can take with you as you leave.
Don’t be confused, this is not some five-star world-class restaurant, prefer local buffet it smacks and a half!
This is the kind of place the first time you’re there you’re like MOVE GRANNY
