What a gem! Stopped in here after passing it a bunch of times. Got two slices and they were HUGE. Sam made the slices fresh himself and they were hot and delicious. Tons of fresh toppings and the crust was great. It’s a “slice” but might as well be a personal pizza. Absolutely check this place out if you’re in the neighborhood!

Sam made us feel right at home and made us the most delicious pizza and calzone! The slices are huge. The cheesecake is amazing . Loved this place! There’s not a lot of seating but it wasn’t busy so we enjoyed eating in the restaurant.

I was just googling restaurants in the Alexandria area. I don’t try to eat out too much because of how food is being prepared today. So I happen to come across this business and started reading the reviews. I was excited about what I read and I thought to myself that I need to check them out. I am so happy that we stopped and gave them a chance. Boy, was we presently surprised with the food, the service and he had a wonderful presence about him. He was so down to earth and we had a great conversation with him. Like I said in the beginning, I don’t eat out a lot, but this place will have you coming back for more good food and great conversations. I will be returning and I will let all my family and friends know to support his business. The food was so delicious and you will have enough to eat the next day. The food is definitely made with love, so don’t miss out. If you order ahead, you don’t have to worry too much about parking. If not, there are a few spots to park at,but not much. All in all, it is so worth visiting. I go by reviews when it comes to eating, so I would definitely recommend coming and seeing for yourself.

Sam’s is the greatest pizza cafe I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. My wife and I just moved into the neighborhood and it was one of the first places we visited given the reviews! The sandwiches, calzones, and entrees are all incredible. The single slices are enormous. His Ziti is to die for. It is like a perfect home cooked meal – very generous portion, warm and perfectly seasoned. Sam himself is far too kind and generous. Every time he goes far above and beyond. Thank you for the warm welcome to the neighborhood Sam – I’ll be a regular as long as I am able.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sam’s Pizza Cafe, and I must say, their calzones are nothing short of spectacular! The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining wonderfully fluffy inside. Each calzone is generously filled with fresh ingredients, and the flavors meld beautifully.

Small place with a couple small tables inside. Conveyor oven vs. coal or wood, but managing to do solid pizza with it. Sam was in making and baking by himself, super nice guy. Nothing fancy, basic pies and canned soda in the fridge. The pizza had flop for sure, but the crust was crispy and sauce is decent. Would like to see a personal side 10-12 inch pie, the 14″ is the smallest they do. Nice little neighborhood place. Worth trying and more of a takeout spot.

Phenomenal calzones! My second time here in 2 days. Owner was very friendly as well. The pizzas and pastas looked good too. I plan on coming back to try those soon. They have non pork protein options which is rare to find. Halal and kosher friendly.

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had! We were looking for a tasty bite for the family after a long day, and this place hit the spot. The owner was incredibly kind, and the pizza was phenomenal. We had the meat pizza and some cheese pizza slices for the kids. Pizza was filling, so we ended up with plenty of leftovers.
