I was looking for something different while visiting Corvallis and I found it at the odd bird cafe. This meal was as good as it looks. The yuzu pistachio toast was especially delightful. Due to allergies I had to ask for the fromage-blanc to be removed, but I’m pretty sure that would take it to the next level! Now, I would recommend they give the place a spring cleaning around the windows, it may just be the historical window seals but something could probably be done.

I was really impressed by the fried chicken sandwich and fries. It was extremely flavorful and fried to perfection. The hot sauce was hot, but not too hot and I liked that it didn’t have a flavor that overpowered the chicken. The house made shoe string fries were delicious and well seasoned. I also had a fresh biscuit which was good, but a little pricey for the size. The service was fine and the seating was comfortable. I definitely look forward to returning.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Odd Bird Café. We waited a long time just to be seated, and once we finally got to our table, it took forever for our food to arrive. Even the water was unpleasant, tasting like it came from a rusted pipe.

I ordered the original eggs Benedict with ham, and it was easily the worst I’ve ever had. The eggs were way overdone, the ham was extremely dry, and the English muffins were barely toasted. To make matters worse, the hollandaise sauce was sour and completely off.

The one positive was that our server was very nice and tried their best, but unfortunately, the food and overall experience fell far short. I would not recommend this café if you’re looking for quality food or timely service.

Took my daughter here for a birthday brunch. The food was excellent, nicely displayed. We share a homemade pop tart and it was fabulous! The homefries were really unique and so good. Overall, food was wonderful. Our waitress was good with checking in from time to time. Good experience!

My wife and I love our breakfast dates to the Odd Bird Cafe, the food has been for us prepared well, with a variety of options for your level of hunger always hot or cold as the dish requires. The servers, who are friendly and efficient as the crowd allows, with a clean and comfortable environment. The bathrooms are usually clean and available for use as well. Prices on dishes vary, some are right on others are slightly high, but all in all we return for the overall experience and food. Consistency matters in food. The Odd Bird meets this for us.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I forgot this place was bad and wanted to leave a review so I don’t forget and go here again.

They over-peppered everything to the detriment of their food. I personally hate pepper so I may be biased, however my mom loves pepper and her biscuits and gravy was so full of black pepper it was inedible to her. The bacon was peppered, they even put a sprinkle of some spices on their sourdough toast for some reason (?). The sourdough toast was stale…not just toasted, but actually stale. Eggs were good, home fries were good but not salty enough. Their ketchup is fancy organic ketchup from Portland and it tastes weird to someone used to Heinz. No one in my party of 4 really liked their food. No one asked for a box. To top it off, their prices are pretty steep.

It wasn’t super busy, we ordered within 10 minutes of sitting down, and then waited a good 35-40 minutes. Ran out of time in the 1 hr paid parking meter even though we are fast eaters.

Atmosphere is fairly decent, but cold and a bit loud.

Also the water both times I’ve come here had stuff floating in it. They leave a jug at your table and the water is visibly not clean.

We found this restaurant online when visiting Corvallis. Bonnie, our waitress, was a delightful person. Make sure to try the bacon. Cooked perfectly. I had the thick cut brioche French toast. Melt in your mouth delicious. We will be back this summer to visit and will make Odd Bird the first stop.

So… this is an interesting one. The service is wonderful. The decor is neat. It’s clean, good ambiance, etc. But the food I tried was (mostly) downright terrible.

The famous pop tart wasn’t half bad actually. A bit too sweet, but it is what it is. My chicken sandwich? Looked nice from the outside but not only was the chicken so dry and overcooked it was basically chalky, it was also incredibly bland. The sauce on the sandwich too thin and watery. The only saving grace was the bun.

The potatoes? Again, look beautiful. Then raw inside. Nothing worse than raw potatoes.

My partner’s eggs Benedict was bland too. The hollandaise visually nice but really unbalanced. The cook on the eggs off too. And the muffin soggy.

It’s funny, there’s cookbooks of Thomas Keller on the shelves. Yet this place could be at best be described as a Temu version of Bouchon.

The Odd Bird Cafe is a nice breakfast place in downtown Corvallis. I highly recommended any dish with the home fries in it, since they do an excellent job at making them crispy on the outside and still soft on the inside.

We enjoyed our time here, however were stunned by the food. While it was good food, I can’t say that it isn’t similar to most other breakfast places around town.

Also, if you do go, the strawberry bar pop tart is also a must!

The service was OUTSTANDING! I got the “Brunch Burger” with their house made fries. The burger came with an over easy egg which was cooked to perfection.

Muahhhhhhh Chefs Kiss!!!

First time here. Thank you for a memorable lunch experience. I will be returning!! Amazing amazing vibe and good. Bony was spectacular as well.
