Seems like a brand new restaurant but super nice staff and the tater tots were amazing! We got the pulled chicken which was great and the chicken wings were delicious too, they claimed to have the best blue cheese but I wont agree completely. I tried it and the amount of blu cheese chunks was great but it was too creamy like ranch and not pasty enough.

Was there last night. They had 4 tvs on the walls showing: news, golf, and 2 college football games.
Had a variety christmas music playing.
I enjoyed the redneck pork and Cole slaw with lemonade. I like their mustard honey bbq sauce.
Had to finish of someone else’s fries and my Mom’s bbq for her! She wanted a slice of carrots cake and finished that for her too!

For years I drove by what used to be Colts Pig Stand on Saxon, next to the Racetrack off I-4 on the Orange City side, assuming it was just another average BBQ spot. I never stopped in back then.

They’ve now rebranded to Colts BBQ & Steakhouse, and on our way back from Orlando yesterday we decided to give it a try based on a recommendation from someone in this group who said they had a really good ribeye — and he definitely wasn’t lying.

We started with onion rings as an appetizer, and they were delicious. Crispy, not greasy, and a great start to the meal.

For the main course, I ordered the ribeye cooked medium with sautéed mushrooms on top, and it was cooked perfectly. The temperature was spot-on, tender, and flavorful — exactly what you’d expect from a true steakhouse-quality cut. It honestly exceeded my expectations.

We also tried the brisket, ribs, and chicken. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone with just the right amount of barbecue sauce — and I’m not even a big BBQ sauce fan. They weren’t smothered and they weren’t dry. Just the perfect balance.

The brisket was tender and flavorful, though I did end up adding a small dash of salt to bring the flavor out a little more — but that may just be personal preference.

The chicken was cooked absolutely perfectly — very moist and tender — but if I’m being honest, most of the seasoning seemed to be on the skin and the inside meat itself could’ve used just a little more flavor. Still cooked spot-on though.

By the end of the meal we were completely stuffed, but we ordered carrot cake for dessert and ended up taking it home. Even later on, it did not disappoint — excellent flavor and a perfect way to finish it off.

I also want to give a shoutout to our waitress, Jade. She was everything a great server should be — attentive without hovering, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, honest with recommendations, quick with refills, and genuinely positive the entire time. She made the experience even better.

Overall, excellent food, great service, and definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area. We’ll absolutely be going back.

For the past three years we’ve ordered from Colt’s for The Oldest’s Birthday, and for the third year in a row our order was wrong. Did we call to complain? Nope. After two years of doing just that, driving back up to get the missing items, and then someone ending up missing dinner with the rest of the family, a third time wasn’t worth it. Besides, the girl who gave us the food seemed less than thrilled to be doing just that. I’m sure the service is fine when eating in, but we prefer, as a family, to bring it home. And considering the cost for five to eat, whether it be dine in or takeout, I would expect a little bit better service. And I’m ALMOST positive that no one can say we didn’t give it the Old College Try….Included is the picture of my burnt-end sandwich…See if YOU can guess the problem…

Everything was amazing!!! The onion rings were very crunchy and well seasoned. The ribs fell off the bone and the brisket melted in my mouth. 10/10! I’ll come back for sure!!

One of the best BBQ joints I’ve been too. The sauce is a bit heavy on the tomato side but that’s not a bad thing just different style. The Mac and cheese was amazing but really their brisket was the star. It was so tender and juicy I almost ate my fiances portion. The turkey wasn’t dry either which is some professional stuff right there. I had the Redneck Reuben and wow it was good. Service was fantastic all smiles and good attitude.

Colt’s BBQ & Steakhouse was absolutely AMAZING! The food was cooked to perfection — the ribs were tender and flavorful, the brisket was juicy and smoky, and everything tasted fresh and made with care. The mac and cheese and potato salad were delicious, and even the toast was perfectly done. You can truly tell they take pride in their food.

The service was EXCELLENT — friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. We felt taken care of the entire time, and the atmosphere was warm and comfortable.

If you’re craving real BBQ and steakhouse quality food, this is the place to go. Definitely coming back again!

I am not a person to write reviews, I just vote with my feet. But this had to be said. Brisket as dry and chewy as bag of jerky that’s been open for a week. I have never had a rib with no meat until tonight. It was an actual half rack of ribs held together with a paper thin layer of dried meat on top and sinew. My wife felt so bad that she gave me some of her chicken which was actually juicy. The corn was black and exploded, and the white cheddar Mac and cheese resembled a cup of sticky mayonnaise with noodles. The most edible thing out of my meal was the bread.

Been driving by the billboards on I-95 the last couple of years and decided to stop for dinner around 7:00 on a Friday evening.

Seated immediately, but it took over an hour to get our food. Asked for several items multiples times, we got some, didn’t get others.

Loaded Tator Tots and Fried Pickles were both very good.

I had the Sirloin Steak. Cooked a perfect medium rare, but is was too tough to enjoy and the seasoning was too salty for my taste.

The Corn Pudding tasted like leftover Cornbread they added some milk to and baked. When it go to the table, it was cold. Took one bite and was done.

Cole Slaw had no flavor. Also one bite and done.

Overall, very disappointed, wont be back.

Outstanding services as usual, the food is excellent. The 3 of us had brisket, pull pork, coleslaw, Texas toast, corn pudding, and Brunswick Stew. For drinks we had margarita’s. They were also excellent. The waitresses’ name that we always ask for is Dee. She will give the best service you will ever have. So be sure and ask for her by name. Don’t miss out on this jewel of a restaurant. Go there now.
