This was a taste of Hawaii. I especially loved their musubis. Super delicious and their dole pineapple smoothie brought me back to Oahu with the first taste! I got the food to go then enjoyed it in the restaurant so the pictures don’t do the authenticity justice.

Definitely check this place out. I was aware of it before but never tried it til today. The cashier/hostess was phenomenal and great with recommendations. The place is great in accomedating allergy/food preferences. I got the spicy shrimp and it didn’t disappoint. Wasn’t too spicy for me, but to most I’d say it might be a tad hot. But absolutely delicious. I’m glad I decided to take a picture before digging in because next thing I knew it was gone and I was very happy. The lingering aftertaste was great too. They cook the rice very well, not under or overcooked. Will be returning to try more things off the menu.

Came to try it out. It was solid. I got their lighter bbq plate and was surprised by the price at first but then I saw the portion and then I understood. It was good and I had leftovers.

The best part of my Experience at l&l was the staff. Leahi was helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and made my dining experience top notch. I will be going back for sure. Just to try something new. All because of all the help she gave me. I’m a very indecisive person and not only was she patient, she made my experience worth going back for.

I miss this place when the old owners still ran it. I had been coming here since 2010. If you took out the original reviews from when it was ran by an older gentleman and his Hawaiian wife, it would fall to the 3s.
FOOD:
Where do I begin? The Katsu is now only white meat and it is dry, the panko falls apart from the meat and the meat is so thin. The Barbecue Chicken is always overcooked and they did something to the sauce where it now leaves these dark plastic like shards on the meat. The Loco Moco now uses the cheapest, nastiest burger patties. The scoops of rice and mac are smaller.
SERVICE:
The Service is okay. That’s it, okay.
ATMOSPHERE:
The past few times we went, before we gave up, it was always dirty. The tables were dirty, the trash was overflowing, the bathrooms were dirty.
Overall, I cannot really recommend this place anymore. It makes me sad as this was my family’s favorite place for Hawaiian food.

I really like the food and the customer service, I had the locomoto and I can genuinely say you get your money’s worth and you will also enjoy it. I personally didn’t care for the macaroni salad but I’m just not a fan of mustard, my mother loved it and we plan to go back soon. The guest service was excellent. I do also think it was a little hard to hear the cashier over the music speaker that was directly above the counter.

I’m an islander and I tried the bbq short ribs, chicken and beef and it all tasted more like sweet teriyaki jerky, than bbq. LauLau tasted old and needed more salt. Everything else we had was good.

We were doing a family vacation at great wolf. I saw there was a Hawaiin BBQ place and I was so excited. But the food was just bad. The macaroni salad was so oversauced. The masubi was dry. The breakfast was so bland. I would not recommend this.
