My friends and I were craving something different from pizza, so we decided to drive out to Baba Saj from the Hotel Central area, which took about 20 minutes. The speed limits in Chicago can be quite slow, but the journey was worth it. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the restaurant’s beautiful and inviting decor. A big, bright sign outside made it easy to spot, as it’s located on the corner of the building.
I indulged in a steak shawarma meal, which was absolutely delicious and left me craving more. The fries were the perfect complement to the flavorful shawarma. To end the meal on a sweet note, I chose the pistachio cheesecake, which was simply heavenly. I highly recommend Baba Saj —be sure to stop by and experience it for yourself!

Just passing through and saw a Mediterranean restaurant. My favorite food so I had to stop and get a meal. I got a Bowl with chicken, fries, and a bunch of other stuff in it. It was delicious, even after a 50 minute drive back to my hotel. Also I had a Baba salad which I’ll save for the morning. Definitely worth checking out! Thanks

I ordered cheese pies, za’atar pies, and spinach pies today, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The spinach pie was extremely spicy and not mixed well. The cheese pies arrived stuck to the cardboard and stuck together because there was no parchment paper between them, which ruined the presentation and made them hard to separate.
Usually this place packs their pies neatly in a large box, even for small orders. This time everything was placed in a small box, even though my order was larger than what I usually buy. The packaging and quality control definitely need improvement.

My wife introduced me to Babasaj and now I’m hooked. Their picato meal and mini shawarma are always fresh and full of flavor. We literally drive an hour just to eat here. The staff is super friendly and they already know our order. Amina always takes great care of us. Highly recommend!

The food is delicious everything I’ve tried here. I’m very pleased with. I still have leftovers today that I plan to eat for lunch and I’m looking forward to them.

Great service, food and clean atmosphere. I ordered via the app and got my food which was hot and fresh within 10 minutes. The chicken and steak shawarma wraps were fresh and delicious while the fries were cooked to perfection. Make sure you get the garlic sauce! The portions were plentiful and i left very satisfied after dining in. Would definitely recommend and i will return.

The best thing to get is the fries. I tried the steak pita bread combo and I only enjoyed dipping the fries in the sauce. I wanted the thin roll but they changed their menu & typically I like to see what I want before going but settled thinking it would be nice. Service was excellent received my food in less than 6 mins.

This was my time visiting this restaurant and the service was great. The clerk Dejal she gave me great customer service. She gave me some suggestions to try. The food was good. However, the chicken and steak had a good taste but just a little dry.i would suggest to find a way to keep the meat juicy. I would definitely go back.
