I want to share my experience at this restaurant as a cautionary note for anyone dining with food allergies.
I have a gluten allergy and clearly communicated this to my server when ordering, specifically requesting no french fries due to the risk of cross-contamination from shared fryers. Despite this, my meal arrived with fries included. When I raised the issue, I was told it had been approved without my knowledge or consent.
The bartender then approached and assured me the fries were not made with gluten — missing the point entirely. When I explained that the concern was cross-contamination from non-dedicated fryers, their response was to ask what kind of allergy I had. This demonstrated a fundamental lack of understanding of food allergy safety protocols, which is deeply concerning in a food service setting.
To add to the frustration, the meal remained on my bill despite not being able to eat it, and when I questioned the charges, the bartender became noticeably rude.
I want to be clear that this is not simply a complaint about poor service — a lack of proper allergy awareness in a restaurant environment is a genuine safety issue. Staff at any food establishment should be trained to understand the difference between a dietary preference and a medical allergy, and to handle these situations with care and professionalism.
I strongly urge management to invest in allergy awareness training for their staff. Until then, I would caution anyone with a serious food allergy to dine here carefully, or seek out a restaurant better equipped to accommodate your needs safely.
The food is absolutely amazing for a hotel style restaurant. We have gone a few times and each time has been awesome. I usually have the same each time. The chicken fingers are to die for. Eat the chicken fingers. The macaroni and cheese add chicken fingers to it is also delicious. They also have a bar you can order drinks from, if the bar itself isn’t open they will still make a few drinks, depending on what you want. Staff is usually very nice and attentive.
The prices are pretty reasonable and fair. They have a public bathroom. It’s usually clean, tables clean, floors, etc. The restaurant is sorta hiding. It’s kinda centered in the middle of all their hotels, you would never see it driving by the road. The view is one of the best features, beautiful views all around, bring your camera.
I have nothing really negative to say.
Overall, 5 stars. ❤️
If they’re going to be as expensive as a steak dinner they should at least have that on their menu. Otherwise good experience
